The birthmark, the tendency to heal faster, the exotic color of our eyes, and so much more. Jackson has all of these traits, but one. His eyes. His eyes are brown, which makes him pass as an actual human sometimes. That sure comes in handy when we are in sticky situations with humans. “What is it, Jackson?” I ask as I return back to my reflection in the mirror. “The rest of the team are outside the hut, and we are ready for the hunt.” He says boldly as he runs his hand through his hair. “You’re not tired?” I ask as I look at his reflection through the mirror.

Cold sweat ran down his face with the color drained from his skin. Now that Jackson was in his human form again, it was time for the harder part, which was removing the bullet out himself. Giving himself a second to prepare, motivating himself to get it over with, he sticks his thumb and index finger in the bullet wound. Jackson cries in pain as he forces his fingers further in, stretching the wound more and more. Unfortunately, he was having difficulty reaching the bullet. It was lodged deep in his shoulder. "Come on Jackson. Come on! Do this for Lily!"

He barely have time to cover his sensitive groin before a fuzzy, furry missile streaks through the door and leaps onto the bed, landing with a floomp. Another few centimeters to the left and he would be a eunuch. Thankfully, the dog bomb missed. “Xerxes!” Jackson grumbles to his Yorkie. His full name is Xerxes the Great, and his behavior warrants use of his full government name, but he was too asleep to scold him fully and properly.

Eager for the first time in days to have something to do, a problem to work on, Jackson strides forward. With his long legs and magic pulsing through his veins, Jackson crosses the Land of Darkness at a pace faster than most people can run. It only takes him about fifteen minutes to reach the first set of iron bars that align with the outer rim of the castle. When he gets there, Jackson frowns, taking the iron in his hands.

Hugo panted as he came running to me. Jackson slapped the back of his head and Hugo let out a growl. “Do you think he is a kid who can be kidnapped with a chocolate? He is a grown ass wolf who knows how to deal with betrayers!” Jackson commented. But what if this grown ass wolf was the betrayer? How would people protect themselves from him? That thought made me uneasy. I never wanted to become this person. This person she hated so much that she didn’t even hate me. “Are you alright? Is it the Vineclaw that has you so worried? We shall soon solve that issue.” Jackson, my beta, placed his hand on my shoulder and assured me.

He just looks so huge but he behaves like a five-year-old kid. “Jackson no see people here… Jackson lost,” he sadly replied with a bass, rough tone while wiping his tears with the back of his hand. I don’t understand… his scent… “Then why are you here?” Is he a human? but his height is ridiculously abnormal for a normal human being. “Jackson lost…” he repeated the words and turned to face me with his face looking so scared and helpless. “Jackson being chased by Wyverns… so scared…” he shuddered once again and tears fell down from his swelling eyes. “You help Jackson go to friends?”

There was a lot of shit happening in his territory. But there he was, getting ready to go jogging with a half-blood. Jackson opened up his senses and scanned as far as he could reach. He’d sensed the Circle in the area when they’d been having breakfast, but they’d left as he had ordered.

Smacking his teeth Jackson narrows his eyes at the both of us but proceeds to take his truck keys out of his pocket with the Ford key ring in his hand he shakes it "Let's go then?!" The wound had mostly healed, but he looked like hell. “Jesus, Sy.” Jade’s voice was low, her gaze flicking to me for half a second before she squared her shoulders and gripped her bag tighter. She edged closer to the bed, wary, and for good reason. We were taught to fear wolves, trained to kill them on sight. Jade had refused. She was a vet—she saved lives. Me? I’d done the opposite. "Jackson, welcome home! It's great to see you too." After a brief exchange, Jackson's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So, where's my little buddy Aaron? I've got a special gift for him from my trip." Aaron came downstairs from his room; his eyes widened with excitement when he saw Jackson. "JACKSON!" he exclaimed, running towards him with open arms. Jackson scooped him up in a big hug, spinning him around in a circle. "Hey, buddy! I've got a special gift for you from my trip. Guess what it is?"
