His eyes were filling up again. Jackson ducked his head, peeking inside the car. Pulling out, like he was running from something, he started screaming, jumping on the spot. "Is it a Golden Retriever?" he turned to me. "Aaah!" we all laughed as he broke out into a screaming fit. "Oh my God, my heart's beating so fast," he said, putting his hand on his chest. "Okay, calm down, Jackson," he tells himself before diving into the car.

"Understood." Jackson looked across the room at Sebastian. The old soldier caught his eye and nodded grimly. He knew what he had to do. Sebastian popped out of cover, waving his arms. "Hey! Over here, tin man! Shoot someone your own size!" Kane turned his massive mechanical body, firing the gatling gun at Sebastian. While the machine was distracted, Jackson sprinted. He didn't run away; he ran straight towards the mechanical monster. He moved with a speed that defied logic, fueled by the desperation to protect his family.

"Tell them, if Sawyer is ever in danger, do whatever it takes to help him," Jackson instructed. His men nodded. "Yes, Mr. Ortega." "Mr. Ortega, your tortoise has arrived." Jackson had a bunch of pets, but they were all the same kind—turtles and tortoises. He joked that old folks said people started to resemble whatever they looked at most, so he figured if he spent enough time watching long-lived creatures, he would live a long life too.

Jackson smirks, before shifting and charging Thaddeus. They both leap off the ground and collide in the air. Growling, clawing, and jaws snapping at each other, as they tumble to the ground. Thaddeus leaps onto Jackson's back, biting into his shoulder and ripping a chunk out of it. Jackson howls in pain as he rears up, and falls backward onto Thaddeus. Thaddeus kicks him off, sending Jackson flying and tumbling. Zeus quickly gets up, ready to charge again when a loud deep growl comes from above them.

Jackson looked at all this with a heavy heart as a solemn expression formed on his face. He didn't need to ask whose brilliant idea this was as he already got that answer when he searched his own home. Inside the remains of his destroyed home, Jackson noticed that his best and favorite weapon, a black steel battle-axe was missing. Inside this village, there was only one other person that could wield it and could figure out a way to bypass his various security features in such a short amount of time.

She used the last bit of her strength and power to throw Jackson away from them by using a fireball. But her weak body couldn't do much.
