They are the mixture that should never have been formed.” says the wolf before Lake savagely ends his existence, leaving a trail of blood on the walls

Nicole shrugged. “The rumor has it that his father had gone to save him and was brutally injured while doing so. But the interesting part is that they all shoved the whole episode under the rug.” She exhaled heavily. “We were told that they both met with a terrible accident. When they returned, both were healing at the same time in the hospital.” She lowered her voice as if someone would listen to her in the car. “I think Alpha Jacob murdered lots of wolves to save him and he went alone to save him.”

Giving auntie Meg one last hug, I ran towards Jacob. "I got the stash, so don't worry if you didn't get any from yours," I whispered in Jacob's ear. He just winked his eye twice; that was our secret way to say he completed his mission as well. Double the snacks, that means! I couldn't help but squeal and hug him. I almost gave in but suddenly resisted, standing on my feet, and turning my back to him. "I trusted you, Jacob. And you gave me your word that it will be between us." "I couldn't just let you go. I would not be able to live with that secret while your family drowns in sorrow as a result of your absence. I told them for your sake too. True blood and a local werewolf are not compatible." "How would you know that? You are not the moon goddess, are you?" I was almost yelling. There was pain in Jacob's eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, then paused. I knew he had a lot to say and waited anxiously for him to speak.

I knew that I had to get as far away from this godforsaken place as fast as possible if I ever wanted to see my mate Jacob again. With my newfound power, I easily led the rogues through the forest, guiding me back to my home, and avoiding any other packs that we came across. Finally, after what felt like hours of walking, we arrived at the edge of her pack's territory. My heart leaped with joy as I saw Alpha Jacob waiting for me, his eyes filled with relief and love. As I approached him, I felt my strength leaving me, and then I fainted in his waiting arms... "Bella? Kitten?" Jacob's voice echoed at a distance in my ears while my vision became blurry then I passed out lifelessly…

“We will both go. I am not letting you walk into something, that can be potentially dangerous, alone. Jacob says, and I nod my head, knowing there is no way to talk him out of this. “Okay,” I whisper. “Everything will be okay.” He says, and I nod my head again. After we went to bed, I remained awake for a long time and knew something like this could happen. But I had hoped it wouldn’t or that it would not happen this soon. I could not fall asleep, so I sneaked out of bed without waking up Jacob left the house and went to the waterfall. I had caught a deer and then cut open its neck so the blood was on my hands and the grass and prayed to the goddess whose name I carry.
