London was in the second living room next to the balcony, reading a book she found on the shelf.

“Well, I can’t say I’m surprised…” “What other sins? What the hell are you talking about?” Diego raked at her incredulously. “Take my word for it and let’s not get into this right now. You won’t like it… Your Excellency,” Jacqueline advised, rising to her full, unimposing height and pausing to hurriedly cram her feet back into the high heels she had removed. “Unless you’ve got all day to listen. And, of course, even if you did magically have the time or the good manners to listen, I might drop dead from hunger first.”

Just her, alone in a place that suddenly felt too big. She paused when she reached a door she hadn’t noticed before. Curiosity tugged at her. She wrapped her fingers around the knob and pushed gently. To her surprise, it wasn’t locked. Inside, the air smelled of dust and old paper. Shelves lined the walls, stacked with books she had never seen. Her fingers brushed over them absently—until something on the table caught her eye. A file with a sheet poking out. Arabelle walked over, hesitating only for a second before opening it.

Lena and Jade were briefly shocked. They noticed Jacquelin approaching from a short distance, swaying her hips as she walked. Her perfume's scent reached them even before she arrived. Lena furrowed her brow as she found the fragrance overwhelmingly pungent. "A pheasant should add a few more feathers to become a peacock!" Jacquelin taunted, glancing at Lena. "Right, Lena?" Lena glanced at her coldly but did not say anything. Jade immediately chimed in. "Jacquelin, how are the house sales going? It seems like you haven't met your target for this month yet."

She once told an introverted Vanessa that being quiet could make her get a mouth ulcer. "What?" "Paige is having a party!" Jacqueline said and whopped loudly causing a few students to look their way. "So?" Vanessa whispered. "So?" Jacqueline repeated, her eyebrows drawn together. Vanessa stared at her navy blue deep-set eyes which had widened in surprise. Jacqueline loved parties. She loves music, festivals, concerts and just anything noisy. She was scrappy, fearless and had a smart mouth, unlike Vanessa who was shy and quiet.

Nathan told his assistant, Paige who chuckled lightly and nodded in agreement. All through the morning, Jacqueline had not stopped talking about the new model and was all excited about her meeting. Nathan had never anticipated meeting someone as much as he did this new model thanks to Jacqueline. Thirty minutes later, Paige barged into his office smiling from ear to ear. “She has returned! Jacqueline is here!” She announced happily. “Was she successful?” He asked anxiously, hoping she was. He knew how much Jacqueline wanted to work with this model and he knew that if she wasn’t successful, she would be down for days.
