Novel & Cerita Jagged Edge All Original Parts: Volume 1

Hello Readers, We've finally updated Wonderings and replaced all of the repeated chapters with the proper chapters. Now that Wonderings have caught up to the present, we'll be working on Shards of Time. It'll take about two days atleast to catch up with Shards of Time since it'll be a bit more difficult for us. We'll be working on author-nim's raw files so we have to fix a few of the chapters to match with the story so please bear with us. We appreciate the support and understanding from the readers.

~Nathan~ After some time had passed, as I made my way back to the packhouse with Jane unconscious in my arms, she looked at peace as she rested, laying her head against my chest. The sound of her heartbeat was at peace, calm, and steady. Even with the pain I was feeling from the fight Koa and I had with Zander, and even though my shoulder was bleeding from the bite Zander had inflicted. But as I look at Jane resting here in my arms, it makes all this pain I was in all worth it. If I had to do it all over again, I would without hesitation. All that truly mattered to me was the safety of Jane.

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

Let’s add post-traumatic-stress disorder to the bunch. I heard sounds – footsteps – coming from outside the room I was in. Eight seconds later, the door unlocked and swung open. The incandescent lighting flickered on. It took a couple of seconds for my eyes to adjust to the sudden flow of light. My first instinct was to take in every detail of the room I was in. With the light, it looked less archaic than it was in my imagination. The walls were actually made of concrete and not of mortar and brick like the castles of old.

And for the first time in a long time, Salvador felt truly alive. At that moment, it felt as if a bolt of lightning had struck Salvador straight through the chest. The surge of happiness he had just experienced only moments ago had turned into something entirely different—something sharp, something unexpected. His body, once strong despite his age, suddenly felt foreign to him. A strange, stabbing sensation spread through his chest, catching him off guard. His grip on the receiver tightened as his heart pounded erratically, as if it were struggling against an unseen force. The room around him began to shift, the once-stable floor beneath his feet seeming to waver. A wave of dizziness washed

Wael hugged Ghada, touched her, and pulled at her clothes, exposing her body. Fadwa screamed, her scream echoing throughout the city, exposing Wael. He pulled out a sharp metal blade and stabbed Ghada. She fell to the ground, blood gushing from her wound. Wael fled, running, thinking he had escaped.

The three beds were lined up along one wall, with desks and a fridge on the other side so someone could sleep even if another was studying. “I think coming here was the best decision I’ve made,” I said enthusiastically. “If that’s how you feel, I’m glad,” Dad smiled. “I should get going. Take care of yourself, son,” he said, hugging me. “I will,” I replied as he left. I started unpacking when my roommate arrived. “Hey,” said a short red-haired guy. “I’m Eddie.” “John. Call me Jay,” I said, shaking his hand before continuing to unpack.

I collapsed in the street with my clothes in disarray. Vanessa Coleman looked at me with eyes full of aching concern and draped a jacket over me. "Don't talk about it," she comforted me. "Let's go home first." The eyes of neighbors and acquaintances cut into me like knives. I shuddered all over and finally believed that I really had been reborn. In my previous life, I had been kidnapped for no clear reason. Twenty-four hours later, I was dumped outside my own home.

A guard with a shaved head and a black rubber apron stood over me, electric clippers buzzing like an angry hornet. "No," I wheezed. "Not my hair. Please." "You don't have a name, no hair, no identity when you're here. You are just 402," the guard said, grabbing the back of my neck like a vice. "In the Forge, pretty is weak." "My father is Don Moretti! He'll kill you for this!" The guard laughed, dry and nasty. "Your father paid for this package, kid. Premium. He told us to shatter your ego. Shave it all off."
