Kent asked, his tone as condescending as ever. “I have,” James replied tersely. Mr. Kent sighed, though there was no warmth in the gesture. “You’ve proven yourself a capable businessman. I’ll give you that. But this is your last chance, James. Are you willing to throw away everything you’ve worked for—all your privilege and power—for these two worthless individuals?” My breath caught, each word a stab to the chest. Mr. Kent’s callousness seemed bottomless, and it hurt far more than I’d anticipated.

It was beautifully carved flagstones that stretch up to the other side of the mansion and when they arrived at the lobby, there were maids and butlers on the staircase going up into the mansion. < JAMESON MANSION > Kingsley climbed down the stairs looking dashing in a black hoodie and sweatpants. He scoffed when he saw his mom sitting elegantly and sipping tea from a small fancy cup. Two unfamiliar ladies were both sitting on the couch that was by the left side of Mrs Jameson (Kingsley mom ). "Wow , is this Kingsley ? He grew up so fine " one of the women who is known as Mrs West said and Mrs Jameson burst into a short laugh. "He is just like his dad " Mrs Jameson boasted and Kingsley scoffed. "Kingsley came and said hello to our guest " His mom called him as she noticed he was heading for the kitchen.
