James Potter Hall Of Elders Crossing Novels & Stories

The atmosphere inside the Sacred Hall was heavy and suffocating. Five elders sat high on their stone thrones, led by Noah Fox, the grand elder. Every one of them looked grim. Jack and I stood on opposite sides of the chamber, far apart, with a clear line drawn between us. "Outrageous!" Noah slammed his staff hard against the stone floor, the dull thud echoing through the hall. "Rowena, do you have any idea how much damage cutting off supplies will do to the pack?"

Disregarding the guards' pleas for patience, the elders hastened their steps, determined to see with their own eyes that their prodigal savior had indeed returned. Pushing the door open, the elders entered the room, their breaths caught in anticipation. Alpha, Beta Keith, a steadfast ally in their quest, and Phenrix, the enigmatic hero himself, were gathered in that solemn chamber. Concern etched deeply upon their faces, the elders approached the bedside where Phenrix lay, fragile and weary. "Phenrix, my boy, how are you feeling now?" Elder Thomas, a figure of wisdom and gentle compassion, asked with a voice laced with tender concern. He inched closer, his eyes searching the depths of Phenri

I speak it fluently when I must. “On the fifth morning,” I continue, “when Dennise stands in black, we will change the Cross forever. I will convene the council. I will speak of an escalation we cannot afford to ignore. I will praise her for surviving wolves and knives and my disappointment. I will name her Head Hunter, Elite, Commander of Recovery and Reduction, and the room will stand as if they invented her.” “Who will contest?” “The old men who hide verses in their coat linings. I will ask them to recite one.” I let my smile show. “They will choke on the third line. When they are done choking, they will kneel.”

"I have no idea, Ally. But I just pray it's someone with a good head on his shoulders. Someone who won't bring doom upon us all." I nod in agreement. The wrong leader could mean disaster. The elders complete their final rites, each carrying a small wooden pot. With flames inside them, casting eerie shadows across their solemn faces. One by one, they step forward and smash their pots onto the ground. The loud screeches of shatterwood echo through the arena, making some pack members flinch. I hold my breath, waiting for what comes next. When the last elder is finished, they turn their backs toward the pack members.

"The twins will have to wait a bit longer. Reed must be stopped." Victor walked beside us, steady and reassuring. Zack clung to Alexander's side, the child's steps no longer hesitant but driven by a newfound resolve. Together, we wound through the cobbled paths until the imposing structure of the Elders' Hall loomed ahead. Above us, the Hall rose, a testament to the authority and sanctuary it promised. Nightmares lurked ever closer, yet justice waited beyond its doors. The massive entrance creaked open as we approached, revealing the old wooden interiors filled with the wisdom and presence of preserved history. The echo of our footsteps bounced against the stone walls, announcing our approac

He bypassed the security checks and guided them into the hall. When the hallway split, he directed Wyatt and Celeste to go one direction, “The ushers at the door will help you to your seats. Elder, sir, if you will follow me this way.” Entering the Elder’s room, Electra looked up at the carved stone ceiling and searched for the carving that had intrigued Gelert as a child. The moon goddess walked through a garden and called forth her children to live two lives shared in one body. Memories of her past lives washed over her as she stood in the original council chambers.

Those chairs are each fitted in design for the realms upon which each elder represents. As soon as the pleasantries adjourn, the elders walked in and took their seats. This century the appointed elders have representation from humans, werewolves, vampires, fae, warlocks, elves, and witches. Silence engulfs the room as the elders take their seats. Elder Aeon of the Fae begins the meeting by thanking us all for being here and that he wishes it was under better circumstances, then nods to Elder Luca of the Warlocks.

Nathan Cross The bass rattles through the floor of Vortex like a heartbeat that refuses to die. The walls are obsidian. The air? Money and heat. Desire and rot. It’s not a club. It’s a cathedral. My kingdom. My kill floor. Politicians, CEOs, celebrities, and the wives they cheat on parade through the doors like royalty. Mink, diamonds, high heels and hollow stares. Their mistresses blend right in—just different shades of plastic.

“The elders aren’t concerned with how well you tolerate our antics. They want to see if you’re worthy of leading beside Fredrick.” I swallowed, my grip tightening on the pendant around my neck. Worthy. That word felt like a noose around my throat. The heavy wooden doors of the hall creaked open as Orion pushed them aside, revealing the dimly lit room beyond. A circle of elders sat in the center, their robes embroidered with the crest of the pack—a crescent moon entwined with the head of a howling wolf. The air inside smelled of burning sage and aged parchment, thick with tradition and something even heavier: judgment.

Considering how Kael has been wiping off all his enemies, I thought he would have killed them all by now. We were led into a massive hall that smelled of ancient parchment and old blood. At the far end, seated in a high-backed chair carved from the bone of a leviathan, was an elder. He was a tall man, his skin full of scars and his hair a shock of ghost-white. His presence was so dense it felt like the oxygen had been sucked out and replaced with poison. "So," the Elder rumbled, his voice a landslide of gravel. "The cub of the North has finally found his way to the grown-ups' table." He raised a brow, eyeing me up and down.
