Luca's POV I tossed about restlessly in bed. The rain splashed in through the windows wetting the floor. I pushed myself up with a groan closing the windows. The ceiling stared back at me as I slipped back into the soft mattress. Jenine's face tugged at my heart making my heartbeat spike. The same feeling I'd had earlier in the afternoon. I clenched my jaw, my hands folding into fists as my heart hammered against my chest. What the hell was this?

JESSICA'S POV~ As I slept, a strange sensation crept over me, unlike anything I had felt in a long time. A terrifying discomfort coursed through my body, and I struggled to open my eyes, but they remained sealed shut. No matter how much I willed my body to awaken, I could only toss and turn helplessly in bed, lost in the throes of this strange, unsettling feeling. Fear gripped me as I began to wonder if I was dying. My heart raced, and the sense of dread grew stronger with each passing moment. Lying there, feeling utterly helpless and terrified, I desperately tried to break free from the clutches of this nightmare.

I was startled, staggering backward a little before her height changed to her usual height. Her radiant smile seems so assuring that it calms all my nerves. Her warm, loving eyes lock onto mine, and she whispers: “Mate.” I furrowed my brows when I heard her, about to respond. A distant noise distracted me. Knock-knock-knock I jolted up from my sleep, covered in sweat. My heart was beating crazily like never before. It was morning already. The knock on the door didn't stop. I reached out to the bedside table and gulped down the glass of water. Stabilizing my breath, I permitted the person to come in.

Her scent envelops me, and I drift off to sleep almost instantly. I’m not sure how long I’ve been asleep, but the room is dark when I jerk awake with a gasp, sitting bolt upright in bed. My heart is hammering against my ribs, and my skin is slick with a cold sweat.

I made my way there, shutting the door gently behind me to create a cocoon of tranquility, and nestled into a cozy corner, ready to drift off for a little while. Startled from my slumber by a sudden, jarring noise, I jolted upright in bed, my heart racing. Blinking against the remnants of sleep, I turned toward the wall clock, hoping to find that it was still early. However, as I squinted at the hands inching toward 5 o'clock, disbelief washed over me—I couldn’t believe I had overslept for so long.

At night she was sleeping in her room when she heard a knock on the window. She ignored it and slept. "Hey! wake up" she startled and sat up with a jerk when she heard his voice and felt his presence just beside her. She put her hand just above her heart as her heart was beating very fast.

Isayanna I wake up with a jolt, my heart pounding as I realize my hands are resting on Jaydon’s chest. My eyes widen in disbelief, and I yank my arms away like they have been burned. Scrambling out of bed, I clutch my chest, trying to calm the frantic thumping of my heart. The room feels too small, too quiet, and my mind races as I try to make sense of what just happened. What the hell?

~Soren~ I wake with a start, my heart pounding in my chest like I'm going through have a cardiac arrest or something. I scramble to sit up, my eyes going to the door. I listen, holding my breath until it hurts. No heavy footfalls in the hallway, no sound of the front door slamming. The mattress shifts next to me I look down, and the breath I was holding escapes me in a breathy exhale.

As I lay there on his couch I fall into a restless sleep hoping that things will be better in the morning. As I awake in the morning I jerk out of my sleep with my heart racing. Trying to calm myself I take a few deep breaths as the tremors from the nightmare I had slowly go away. opening my eyes however is a different story. Here I am still stuck in the nightmare. It wasn't a dream at all.

Slowly my heartbeat returns to a normal rhythm and I can breathe. "Lua, I think you had a panic attack. You slept the whole ride and I let you because you've been on the move a week with barely any sleep. Right when we got here as I was carrying you to our room you started breathing heavily and your heart was beating crazy fast. I couldn't wake you up then suddenly you were awake. Are you ok? The doctor is on her way.
