A ringing phone brought him out of his daydream. “Yeah?” Growled Jared. “On my way.” Jared walked out on Thomas and with a slam of his front door was gone. Thomas chased after him. “Jared! Wait!” Jared didn’t even spare a glance at Thomas as he climbed into his jet-black 1500 double cab Silverado and peeled out of the driveway. Thomas had hoped that Jared was going to bring back enforcement, but he really wasn’t sure what was going to happen. But one thing he did hope that no one else died because of the demons that had been spilling over the world for the past few months.

Jared said excitedly. “Zade? What does Zade have to do with Caleb?” Elaine questioned, confused. Jared's eyes glinted with mischief as he led her toward a small, dimly lit office in the back of a building at the back of the mansion. The smell of dust and old papers filled the air, it actually looked like the office of those investigators in the movies. Elaine glanced at Jared, she had forgotten that he was a certified lawyer, one who had helped many innocent people and that was why he was very popular.

I nod and I walk away. I finish my lift and by the time I get back to my car I am almost slumped. I check the time. It's five already which explains why my stomach felt so empty. I texted my mom I was on the way home and I started to drive off. The long drive home felt like seconds. I went to Los Angeles Azules on the way back and thought about how today wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be, maybe this semester was going to be good.

Laura said Jared turned to look at Xavier “Get Roland in the phone. He must be grieving his son right now. If I have a chat with him, I might be able to get through to him. He looks like a very reasonable person. If he can see things from my side, things might be easier for us on this side” Jared said Xavier nodded at him and pulled out his phone. He walked out of the living room and Alice noticed that Jared rubbed his forehead. He only did that when he was extremely stressed. Xavier walked back into the room

Jared smiled at her. She gave him back a fake smile and whispers, "I'll kick your ass again as soon as I get out of this." Caleb scoffed, "Is this some sort of joke? Who the hell do you think you are to interrupt? You think just because I let you off earlier, I'll let you go today?" Jared smirked, "I just came to take my girlfriend. I won't be using my fist on you again." "I'm going to make you pay for this. Do you know who I am? My father is the CEO of the MM group..."

She hesitated for a moment before picking up the phone and whispering a hello into it. “Hello?” She heard an almost hushed voice from the other end. “Jade, it's Rachel. I wanna ask if you've seen Shawn. He's been away for five days now and I'm really worried about him.” “Shawn!!” Jade called out as she covered the receiver with her hand. “Come speak with your mom.” She said as Shawn looked at her and he ran to her immediately. She gave him the phone and went into the kitchen. From the counter where she sat, she could hear Shawn's sniffles as he spoke with his mother. And for a moment she wished she was him. That she was the one out there in the living room talking with her mother.

As he took slow steps closer to Cordelia with a frown on his face, a young, handsome-looking man came out of nowhere and pulled Cordelia by the arm. “Hi, baby. I’m sorry I took time in the restroom.” The stranger uttered with a grin. Cordelia looked so confused, but as the smart girl she was, she figured out that he was trying to save her. So she didn’t push him away. This stranger was Jared Lambert, a twenty-five year old guy, the son of Sir Luther Lambert, leader of the East America drug cartel, and nephew to El Azul Lambert, the leader of the Colima drug cartel in Europe. El Azul had connections all over Europe and was given almost the same respect as the President.

Chapter 84 Camilla POV… After the birthday, I got to know Jared well and realized that he was also like Lucien. His family was once from city Y but they migrated overseas. They have developed and they are now one of the most powerful packs around. He was the future alpha and I am glad that Zelma found someone she can rely on. I was no longer worried about her spending her time alone overseas. Today was quite an important day to me because I was going to officially take over the Crawford corporation.
