She watched as he brushed his teeth and brushed his hair. All the while she sat on the counter and watched as he took a buzzing thing to cut his beard off. Black hair filled the sink as he looked towards me and chuckled. He cut it the way he had it when Morana first saw him. Hontas enjoyed his new look more than before, Morana felt her grow excited.

They had more than doubled the customer base and had three other employees working under them besides the work they did themselves and the part time help from their dad. Jacob and Jason both had their hair styled in a quiff but Jacob had spikes of blond highlights in his and kept it long and textured in a straight up and straight back fashion. Jason’s was his natural dark brown, faded more at the sides and of a medium length on top that he kept swept to the right. Raven I look up to find a guy standing next to my booth. He’s tall with bright blue hair styled in that messy, deliberately careless way. Tattoos cover both his arms. He’s flanked by two other guys who are clearly with him. “Something like that,” I say, not really in the mood for conversation. “I’m Jared. Friends call me Jay.” He slides into the booth next to me without invitation. Too close. “I couldn’t help but notice you sitting here all alone. A beautiful girl like you shouldn’t be drinking by herself.”

He was also wearing his lip ring and it caught the sun, adding to his sex appeal. There was a sheen of sweat covering his rippling muscles as he jogged but the longer I looked, I realized there was something different about his appearance. And then it clicked. Dorian has gotten a fresh haircut. Most of the time I’d seen him at practice in the last forty-eight hours, he had his helmet on and besides, I avoided him like the plague. His red hair has been shaved to the low buzzcut he was wearing the first time he came into the locker room. I felt an unexpected stab of displeasure.

"Her friends", Buzz cut replied. "The little fox girl. The loud, crybaby. All of them matter to her, but this fox is a bit special. You've seen her texts" A pit was blown wide open in my stomach.
