Nothing about it was fair any more. These past few years Jane had begun to accept the fact that she wasn't one of the Waleskis. And she had started writing a book called the Unfair Life of Jane, Plain, and Short. It wasn't a real book, just a list of experiences and even that made Jane wonder whether the universe had something in the particular against her. For example:

Isabella Barca glanced at the door with trepidation. Her cousin, Tally, had spoken to Mrs. Wilder on her behalf. Since Mrs. Wilder needed an assistant and Bella had just lost her temp job, it seemed like a great fit. Considering Mrs. Wilder’s matchmaking business was growing exponentially, Bella was worried about messing up for the lovely woman, not that Bella ever messed up due to lack of work ethic. It seemed her inability to stop working on something until she felt it was perfect annoyed some of her previous bosses.

Janson asked which was replied by Nish. "Project! Tomorrow is the last day of submission!" She sighed. Janson grinned. "Now I can understand why you all turned bookworms in one day!" His words made me chuckle while others rolled their eyes. "Now let's study! We talked enough!" I said it made everyone serious and nodded. Everyone opened the book and copies while Janson suddenly held my left hand under the table and interconnected it with his right hand. He is left-handed. So writing is not a problem for him.

Without hesitation, I threw myself onto the soft and comfortable mattress, relishing in the sensation of sinking into the fluffy bedding. "Heaven," I muttered, my eyes drifting closed as I felt the weariness of my journey overtake me.
