Wild Winter
We can't really afford steak, so we eat it maybe once or twice a year on birthdays or special occasions, but it is one of my favorites.
After we are done eating Wilder cleans the table while I put three big brownies on a plate, for Wyatt to take to the kids. Suddenly the front door swings open, slamming against the wall. Wilder immediately goes into the hallway to see what is going on. I watch as his back bristles, then I look past him to see Isolde. She stumbles into the kitchen, eyes classy and red rimmed. I haven't seen her in months and I am taken aback by how horrible she looks. Her skin is pale and sickly looking, her hair limp and dirty. She's lost weight that she didn't need to lose,
