Jasmine’s POV The next day, we coincidentally met in the elevator again, and my amulet went really hot against my sternum almost immediately. Not the usual warm buzz it gave off near strong supernatural presences. This was white-hot. The iron burned straight through the thin fabric of my blouse and into my skin like I was being branded with an iron straight from the fire. I had to bite the inside of my cheek hard to keep the pain from showing on my face while Tristan stood two feet away. The smell of his cologne filled the small space between us. He noticed, as his gaze dropped to the thin silver chain visible at my collar and his hand reached for it.

He waved at her and ran towards his father’s bellow. The next time Xander saw Adalia, two years had flown by. She was grown now, seventeen years old and looking more like a woman every single day. Alice asked in excitement but Jasmine still didn't look satisfied. “Walk.” Jasmine said and Alice followed again. After she did her short walk Jasmine gave a long, weary sigh, “Next.” Alice tapped her foot in frustration and went back to the changing room. The fourth time she walked out wearing a royal red velvet A- line off shoulder sweep train with split. Jasmine opened her mouth wide and covered them with her hands in disbelief. “I am so great,” she yelled in excitement and finally got up from her seat. Alice was happy seeing that reaction.

I asked, trying to wet my tongue to get rid of the dryness. “Oh dear, where are my manners? You may call me Alpha King.” He said proudly. “K-king?” I asked. “Yes, very soon I will become the King of all wolves, with you by my side.” He said and I heard the rattle of chains and then he opened the door to the cage I was in. “Here, drink up my dear. You sound parched.” He spoke, placing a straw to my lips. I didn’t argue, I took a long drink and then spit it back out as soon as I tasted what was in it. He was drugging me.
