“Yes, I did,” he whispered, pressing his lips to my shoulder. He lets his lips linger there for a moment before he pulled away, breathing against my neck as he did. “I should have done it a long time ago. I was wrong to delay it until now.”
I turned in his arms, searching his eyes for hesitation, but there wasn’t any. Just sincerity. Just warmth. Just Damon.
