I told him. With pure speed Jason was in front of me, his fist connecting with my jaw. Shaking his punch off, I looked at him with a smirk. “Oh… Sorry did I happen to touch a nerve. Bit emotional aren’t we Jason. Where the f*ck was your emotion the day you destroyed our packs peace, the day you took Vanessa away from her mate and daughter or the day you tried to rape a f**king child” I stared at him waiting for another blow to the face, only this time I was met with a silver whip to my back.

He was so focused that he barely blinked. '' You really love this thing, don't you?" I muttered, giving a smile to lighten the mood. He gave a crooked smile without taking his eyes off the screen. '' There's nothing like a classic. Jason is unbeatable.'' '' Jason is from Friday the 13th.'' I retorted, laughing. ''Michael Myers is from Halloween.'' He looked at me sideways and laughed. '' See? You know it too.''

His face stayed composed on the outside, but he knew what a mess he was on the inside. … Up on the rooftop's helipad, a helicopter waited. Jason was inside. He wanted to get out to help Phoebe, but she shook her head, waving him off. She stood alone, still trying to recover from the situation. Jason assumed her legs were too messed up to move easily and wanted to help her up. God knew how panicked he was right now; he had no idea how he was going to explain any of this to Gideon… The view from the roof was stunning—Vorada Harbor glittered below, and a sea of lights stretched into the night.

Elsewhere, a storm brewed. Jason sat in the back of an unmarked car, phone in hand. He watched the news footage for the hundredth time. Cassandra’s final stand. Ethan’s declaration. The headlines naming Whitlock as Ethan’s father. And in every frame, Jason saw his own irrelevance deepen. He’d lost her. He’d lost his best friend. And he’d lost the illusion that he was ever the hero of this story. The driver looked at him through the rearview. “She said she wants to meet.”

Jason Jason stood in the communal shower, water cascading over his tan, muscular frame. His body was a vision of strength and athleticism, tall and broad-shouldered, with every muscle clearly defined from hours in the gym. His short, dark hair clung to his head, droplets trailing down his neck and across his toned chest, highlighting the veins along his arms. The light glistened off his smooth, wet skin, making his already imposing physique even more striking.

“We have the footage that you and Chris have been using as leverage, but now you don’t need to go through him, you have it for yourself” The man nodded and gestured to the table. A laptop appeared almost magically. Jason stepped forward and opened it, placing the stick in scrolling through quickly. I watched his face more than the screen. After a second, he nodded. “It’s all here.” Relief hit me so fast it almost made me dizzy. “The footage for our daughter and Jacksons freedom,” I said. “No,” the man said calmly. Jason straightened. “No?” “You came here and put all your chips on the table,” he replied. “Whats stopping me from just simply killing you now?”

Morning came far too quickly. Sunlight slipped through the curtains in thin, stubborn lines, stretching across the living room as if determined to expose the chaos of the night before. The television was still on. The game—paused. Controllers—abandoned. Snack wrappers—everywhere. And right in the middle of it all— Two bodies, completely knocked out. Jason was sprawled across the carpet, one arm flung over his face, the other still loosely gripping a controller as if his life depended on it. His blond hair was a complete mess, and his shirt had ridden up slightly, leaving him looking nothing like the polished superstar from the day before.

Jason stood there for a while trying to comprehend the situation while people danced around him. "Jason!... Jason!!! What's up, man?" Sean shook him by the shoulder. "What's the matter? Where's char?." Jason left him and headed towards the bar alone ordering shots... He gulped down three glasses immediately and ordered more. Sean caught up with him and sat beside him.

His hand pressed hard against the cigarette butt, leaving deep marks on his skin. Khloe came outside to call him. "Everyone's waiting for you to unveil the exhibit. Why are you out here smoking so much?" Just then, Jason's phone buzzed. He glanced at the message, and his tense body finally relaxed. He put out the cigarette and took a step inside. Khloe followed him, her smile unfazed. She knew what the message said. Heather had just given birth to a daughter. Both mother and child were safe. Jason took a few more steps and then stopped suddenly.

Jason told me he also felt this way too when he first shifted, but he says I'll grow used to it all soon. Jason looks over at me as I walk out the door. I look at his shirtless body as he pulls his shirt off, throwing it onto the ground. I've seen him shirtless many many times now, but sometimes it still amazes me at how perfectly toned and sculpted his body is. "We'll start with sparring." He says.
