I had just ruined my entire life, and these people were acting like it was a spa day. ​"The Alpha gave strict instructions," the woman said, her eyes cold and unimpressed by my outburst. "You will be bathed, your hair will be treated, and you will be fitted. We have four hours to turn... this... into a bride." She looked at my jagged, self-cut hair with a sneer. ​I felt a surge of pure fury. "I am not a doll. Get out! All of you!" ​The room went silent for a heartbeat. Then, the door to the ensuite opened. Jaxson stepped out, fully dressed in a crisp black shirt which did justice to his chest and muscles.

The time passed quickly and all too soon they were entering the salon. There were three stylists who worked in bright open space. The Senior Stylist was a short Japanese man with a bright purple Mohawk. Both his arms were covered in tattoos, and Jasmine introduced him as Taki. Working with him was Betty, a short petite blonde who seemed to have trouble meeting his gaze and Alex, a tall bald man with a razor-thin goatee.

Jax said softly. His words had my heart racing and a sudden urge came over me. I got the scissors out of the top drawer of the vanity. I lifted them to my hair and cut it. I cut it short and then when I was happy with how short I got the clippers and shaved one side. I stood back looking at the new me, a smile was on my face and it warmed my heart to see myself genuinely smiling. I had a quick cold shower because I used all the hot water letting the shower run down the drain for hours. I walked out of my bathroom and got dressed. The boy had left a while ago.
