The judge, an older man with silver hair and sharp eyes, tapped his gavel once, and the room fell silent.
"Case number 1996: Chicago vs. Hazel Romano. Charge: criminal damage to property, specifically, vandalism of a motor vehicle," the clerk announced, her voice echoing through the chamber.
"Will the prosecution please identify themselves?" the judges says, in a bored tone, this was just another day at work for him.
"The State of Illinois, Your Honor. I am Assistant District Attorney Thompson, representing the people," A sharp voice from the other side of the room replied.
Vincent guided us to the front, standing on the other side of the attorney, facing the judge.
