The face is flat like a numb with no eyes, and two rows of sharp canines. When it opens its mouth, it doesn't bark, just lets out a high pitched scream that matches a girl being murdered, or a yowling cat. At the sound of the scream, more pop up, and then out of nowhere, their wings sprout as they begint to take flight.

The flapping sounds of wings keep coming. " What's going on?" She mutters, slowly walking backwards. The bushes become darker. Her dilated pupils are shaky whilst she keeps stepping away. But " Don't hurt me!" She screams, hugging her belly. She shuts her eyes, as fear rushes through. But she exhales sharply before opening her eyes, finding a dog-like creature, with a wing, fighting more than hundreds of bats who aren't actually vampires but they're used to detect any wolves in this dimension. " What the hell is it?"

I tipped a single drop onto her wrist. The light came faster this time. It didn’t ease outward, but rather erupted, white and gold and staggering, climbing up and up and spreading wide. And within it, unfolding from her back in a rush that pushed me back a full step, two wings extended: enormous, white, spanning the width of the hut from wall to wall. I gasped, both hands flying to my mouth. Melissa stared at me, her eyes wide. “What? What is it? What do you see?”

This must be the veil. First, my fingers push through, and then my hands. My body is aching with the force it takes for me to walk through the veil. I scrambled up his side, feeling the powerful heat rolling off him, and settled right behind his neck. The scales were rough but warm, like heated armor. "Got it! Guys, move!" Damien laughed roughly as he hauled himself up. "This is insane. Never thought I'd ride a prince. Ezra, you good back there?" Ezra swung up last, clutching his device. "Barely. Wings are steadier than they look. Kenji, the east tower just collapsed. Go!"

Two hunters in front immediately threw their chakrams slicing off the creepers arms to the ground then the two hunters on the wall threw their short spears strongly at the armless creepers thrusting through the creepers lower body nailing them closer to the ground unably them to move. My wings burst from my back—huge black wings with blue glowing edges. My eyes turned silver. My nails grew long, sharp like blades. Dark feathers fell from the sky. The kittens were chaos wrapped in fur. Perfect, tiny chaos, but chaos nonetheless. Mochi, for example, already fancied herself a tiny menace.
