he said through clenched teeth. Then the pain exploded. Damien let out a cry, gripping the edge of the bed as his back arched violently. "Damien!" Seraphine rushed toward him. His scream tore through the quiet house. A loud cracking sound echoed through the room. Seraphine froze. Something was moving beneath Damien's skin. His shoulders jerked, his muscles tightening as if something inside him was forcing its way out. Another crack. Then suddenly, two massive wings burst from his back. Dark, powerful, and enormous.

I gasped and covered my mouth as his skin disappeared, blackness covering it. His feet shrank up into his body as massive wings sprouted from his back and then he was in the air. And just behind the handsome silver-white robot, a pair of massive, beautiful angel-like robotic wings that were made of an unknown material slowly unfolded. As they expanded, all the surrounding spider silks were ruthlessly severed, and an ice-blue light flowed on the wings, looking extremely beautiful.

With wide eyes, I watched feathers emerge from her back, blood-red feathers, growing with each grunt, soon to reveal a pair of mighty, bloody wings fluttering uncertainly in the wind. "What the fuck?" I didn't finish the sentence because there was a sudden movement, and I was already screaming out of fear. I held Mackenzie like a vine as the cold wind whipped my naked body, and the raindrops washed away the sweat and dirt from me. Mckenzie continued to stare at the sky as, as if in a trance, she moved through the clouds, carrying us on her angel wings above the storm.

"I'll tear you apart if you think you are getting anywhere near her," he warns, his growling voice rumbling through his back and into my chest. With a grin, Jay pulls out a weapon and points it directly at Cree's chest. My heart races with fear, but I don't even think before us

You have wings of your own.” Oh. I didn’t even think of that. “I don’t know how…” “Just concentrate. You’ll feel them.” Concentrate on what exactly? But then I feel it. There’s a strange sensation going through my back, up to my shoulder blades, and then pain as my skin rips and huge wings break free, dotting the snow with flecks of my blood.

“Oh, gods…” Her breath was scorching hot. Every exhale washed over me like the air from a furnace. One careless movement from me and I would get burned, even one accidental bite and I would be dead. “Please don’t sneeze,” I whispered. The beast blinked one golden eye then, with another powerful roar her enormous wings spread. “Wings?” They unfurled like giant sails, black as midnight and edged with crimson veins. One powerful flap and the beast launched itself into the air. The crowd gasped.
