For a minute, he thought about his wife whom he'd tied up in a bathtub in the basement. He'd covered her immobile form with ice and had abandoned her there.

His chivalry still surprises me sometimes, but I appreciate the gesture.

It's actually closer to your parents' place as well. It's a perfect middle ground for us.
