We arrived at the mansion that served as the Stone's house in the Crimson Pack territory and the doors were thrown open for us. In the central hall sat Derek, his father, and my father, they looked anticipating and ready to receive us. I felt my legs start to flatter as we got closer but Ace's grip was strong enough to strengthen me. Derek's gaze was on us right from the start of the hall to the table, the anger he bore was unmistakable. "I'm so glad you made it, Ace," Jeffrey and my father stood up to welcome Ace. "I told you I would," Ace spoke stoically.

Jake asked, his voice low, his eyes searching mine. I nodded, forcing a small smile. “Yeah. Just… glad to be out of there.” He reached over, squeezing my hand briefly. “Good. Tonight’s about you having fun. Forget those two.” The drive to Declan’s family estate was shorter than I expected. When we pulled up to the gated entrance, my breath caught. The house was massive, all white stone and towering columns, with fairy lights strung along the driveway and music spilling out from somewhere inside. The driver parked near the entrance, and as we stepped out, I felt a nervous flutter in my chest.

I sucked in a lungful of air before releasing it slowly. So much is happening, and now I also have my father and my brother to deal with as well. Ugh, life just couldn't get any worse. About thirty minutes later, Sky slows down to a stop in front of a white house big enough to be mistaken for a mansion. The last time I visited Jackson was when he was still living in an apartment. I read on the news that the place was attacked, and so he moved. I hadn't known he bought a house this big and beautiful.
