“Jaeger,” he suddenly says, wiping the cocky smile from his face as he holds out his hand. “Figured if we’re going to be neighbors, we might as well know each other’s names.”
“Your name is Jaeger?” I ask, raising my eyebrow. “That sounds—”
“German, and yes, that’s my name, but you can call me Jay if it sounds too weird,” he says. Now I know why he has a slight accent.
I can’t help but laugh at the fact that he calls himself Jay. Wouldn’t the correct term be ‘yay’ if he were to have a nickname?
