Mated to My best friend

Mated to My best friend

Wally reminded him. The shaman gave a slow nod. "Yes. But the process wouldn't be easy. The Jewel is tied to the spirits of the past Alphas. so It resists corruption." Wally’s jaw tightened. "Then make it suffer." The shaman hesitated, then stepped closer to the Jewel, running a gnarled hand over the Jewel. The moment his skin touched it, the chamber’s torches flickered wildly, shadows stretching unnaturally across the walls. A low hum filled the air, the Jewel pulsing as if alive, as if sensing the darkness that sought to consume it.

Shattered Bond: Rise Of The Rogue Luna

Shattered Bond: Rise Of The Rogue Luna

Chapter 43 Shadow Weavers of Shinjuku The attack of the Shadow-Weavers was not a chaotic lunge like the New Breed spider monsters; it was a silent, coordinated execution maneuver that moved with the terrifying speed of an electrical current. The three indigo-clad figures didn't make a sound as their boots left the wet cobblestones, their bodies dissolving into fluid ribbons of black mist that blurred into the shadows of the narrow alleyway before Laila could even draw her hands from her leather trench coat.

The Last Shadow Witch

The Last Shadow Witch

The book had a big red diamond on its front cover and the words 'Darcy's Shadows' written on it in red. "Touch the diamond to open," Jingaro instructed. "The sheets are twilight fog and can be dangerous if someone else sees it. Only you must see it. The book is written in a language only Darcy can understand. If anyone except you sees the sheets and tries to read them, they will die. Be careful with the spells and read the book thoroughly." "Thank you, Terra and Jingaro," I said, smiling at the book.

Shadowbound Flame

Shadowbound Flame

“Who.” The air dropped in an instant. Breath froze in their lungs, every candle guttering but never quite dying. The chamber seemed to fold inward, as if the walls themselves bent closer, pressing down on their ribs. Then, with a groan that echoed like bones breaking, the seal cracked. From its heart spilled shadow — but not like theirs. Not crow-black. Not familiar. This shadow was older, heavier, soaked in memory. Its edges gleamed red as if dipped in fire. A feather emerged. Long. Brittle. Stained faintly with blood.

Shadow Pack

Shadow Pack

The leaves were rustling as if the wind had passed through them. However, when one looked closely at the dark, forbidden forest that the tight community of Paphos, Cyprus had to forbid their children and citizens there, one would find that something was moving through the leaves, not the wind itself. The shadow lurked in the shrubbery, trying to stay hidden from its pursuers, laying low on the ground as its blue eyes were looking at the people—bad, dirty humans—who were trying to catch it beforehand.

The Light's Shadow

The Light's Shadow

I'm hoping to give it a more gothic theme rather than romantic. "I decided on making it a romantic fantasy," Nice, Christine. "It follows a teacher with a hidden desire lurking inside of her. She tries resisting, but her new home holds a monster that brings that desire out. And she realizes that her life may be a lie." "What's called, Christine?" I smiled at her question. "It's called The Shadow that Lurks Within," Jessica didn't say anything else, and we continued to look around in silence. John was holding five different onesies, all with different animals on them.

Throne Of Shadowed Rebirth

Throne Of Shadowed Rebirth

I must keep going, even though I am exhausted and sweating, because this is the only way I can win. Then I hear it—a noise behind me, a rustle. I tighten my grip on the hilt. “Who’s there?” I whisper, turning slowly. The forest answers with silence. But then—I saw a shadow between the trees. Someone is watching me. For the first time since my seventh rebirth, I realize I may not be the only one with memories.

The Stolen Alpha

The Stolen Alpha

As the team approached the pedestal, the air thickened with anticipation. The Shadowstone, radiant with an ethereal glow, seemed to pulsate with an otherworldly energy. Its dark surface, polished to a glassy sheen, reflected the faintest hint of their determined faces. Rylan's hand closed around the Shadowstone, feeling its power course through him like a river of fire. The artifact's energy resonated with his own, amplifying his strength and resolve. Its smooth surface warmed to his touch, as if alive.

Obsession of the King: A Luna’s Revenge

Obsession of the King: A Luna’s Revenge

“You lose.” She started laughing. Insane and in between her gasps for breath. And somewhere in the distance, the shadow screamed. It wasn’t a sound that could be heard with ears—it was something felt deep in the bones, in the air, in the very magic around us. The air thickened with darkness—and then thinned. I turned toward the virren moonstone. It was pulsing faster now. Not with power… but in alarm. The shadow’s presence was unraveling. I looked at Jadeline and how she’s bathing in her own blood. I looked at my hands—filthy and stained with red. The pieces started forming in my head.

So far this book deserves way more than 5 stars. The Female lead is multi faceted, tough and intelligent. The male lead is top tier. Their chemistry is off the charts and the story itself is interesting with appropriately paced plot development. It's hard to find books this good on this app.

Best part of the story is the great villain because her stepmother is evil and smart effective and not like other shallow villain. It's like she is the same with Veronica. Their relationship is deep. Her revenge plans are justified. The main focus is her but the curse of Sebastian is intriguing also
