I groan and roll over, tossing the blankets off me like they had a personal beef with me. I lay with my head throbbing like someone kept a block on my temple. Great. Just what I needed. I blink hard a couple of times scratching my eyes, and through the blurriness, I see Jimmy’s name flashing on the screen. “Fuck!”. I pick it up with a sigh that sounds more like a growl than a normal sigh. “What the hell do you want, Jimmy?” I hear him laugh, loud, way too loud for a rogue who has no pack. “You don’t remember what you did last night, huh?” he says, all happy and smug.

“I’ve had a day.” Jimmy walked in last. Calm. Sharp. Dressed in that infuriatingly casual hacker-core hoodie with some ironic quote stitched across the back and boots that screamed I know where your secrets live. He gave me one long look over the rim of his iced coffee (with a biodegradable straw, obviously), pursed his lips, and flopped dramatically into the chair across from me. “Honey,” he said, eyes narrowing as he opened his laptop, “is this a ‘we’re all going to die dramatically in a fireball of cursed energy’ situation? Or is this more of a ‘digging up dead drama from your haunted bloodline’ thing?”

“Oh, I kept seeing it on my F******k feed. Why?” “Do you even know what it means?” Myung-soo continued asking. Woo-hyun remained confused as I am. Then, Myung-soo started laughing alongside Nana. Eun-woo and Ji-hoon remained with no expression as they continued eating. “What the hell are you two laughing about?” Woo-hyun asked them. Since Myung-soo couldn’t help laughing and making fun of Woo-hyun, Nana decided to answer the question. “Woo-hyun, you should be more careful of using memes in real life,” she explained. “The meme you just expressed earlier came out of porn.”

And the worst part about this weird thought that just popped up in my head is that I can’t even clear the stupid thought from my mind because I know it is what Jimmy is capable of doing when the spirit of stupidity enters into me. But God help him if he actually decides to be stupid and think from his ass rather than from the brain he was blessed with because he will not live to witness the end of my rage and this is not even a joke. I would be absolutely pissed with him for more than a month if he decides to embarrass me like that.

In a broken voice, Jimmy asks, “H.how do y.you do th.that?” I furrow my eyebrows and slowly shake my head. “Do what?
