The woman looked graceful and elegant. Leah felt almost homely compared to this woman, and the smirk on the woman’s face didn’t make things any better. Leah almost felt like smacking the smirk right off her face. Was this bitch one of Ray’s ex-lovers? She wouldn’t be surprised. After all, Ray was a very handsome and sexy man. When dinner was over and Kathy had cleared the dishes, her dad excused himself while her mom stayed. ″Sweetheart, I have some designs to make. I was wondering if you'd like to join me,″ her mom said. She had several branches in different countries and had recently moved her head office in America to New York city. ″No mom,″ Anna said standing up. ″I have to get some sleep.″ Her mom looked downcast but agreed anyway. ″Okay dear,″ she said as Anna left the table and went to her room but not before wishing Katherine a good night.

She had let down her guard, and now she would pay. “Yeah, she’s a big one.” Joe nodded. “We figured one dart would be enough . . . took two.” He ran his hand over her side. She attempted her most terrifying growl, but it sounded more like a sickly, low moan. “Maybe 110pounds, more the size of a gray.” He chuckled. “I know, I know, I told you she’s big. No, not fat. Lean as they come, just longer-legged and longer bodied, and she has the prettiest red pelt you ever did see.”

Vivian leaned in slightly, her voice just for Avery. “Maybe this is a sign,” she murmured. “You don’t belong here.” Avery squared her shoulders. “And yet, here I am.” She fired back, not giving Vivian a chance to recover. Joanna’s expression darkened. “You shouldn’t be.” She said, taking a step forward, her posture shifting from amusement to aggression. Joanna was a hot tempered woman and Avery had seen her countless times raise her hands on servants, male or female, in the estate. She wasted no time in putting others below her in their rightful position; those were Joanna’s words.

Joanna glared at Millie, pride written across her face. Millie pursed her lips to indicate that she was listening. Joanna looked around. Once she confirmed that no one was listening, she leaned over to whisper into Millie's ear, "The one I want to meet is M, from the M Base!" Millie narrowed her eyes. Oh? Joanna huffed and pushed her hair back. She looked at Millie and asked, "Aren't you stunned to hear his name?" Millie raised her eyebrows. Joanna was still Joanna, a spoiled little princess who was absolutely brainless.

I’ve never heard her name come up. Trust me, she’s not part of them.”
