Scene Opens – Helena’s Bedroom, The moonlight stretched long across the room as Helena sat at her desk, the soft hum of her laptop the only sound. Her fingers hovered over the touchpad before finally double-clicking the file titled: “LastRecording_Sophia.m4a” The voice that came through the speakers was faint at first, trembling—but unmistakably Sophia’s. “If you’re listening to this… it means my story didn’t end in silence.” Helena’s breath caught in her throat. Her eyes shut slowly as the words washed over her.

I demanded, staring the man down. For the first time, the doctor looked up at me. His expression was pitiful, pleading with the desperation of a man begging for his life. "Once hypnosis is done, it can’t be reversed," he explained shakily. "If I try to force her to remember, it’ll cause unbearable pain—splitting headaches that could drive her insane." "What?" The word slipped out of me, heavy with guilt. I should’ve stopped Salem sooner. "You’ve seen it already, haven’t you?" the doctor said, turning to Emmette. "The headaches. The sudden convulsions until she passes out."
