Stepping out of the shower, my heart leaped into my throat as I saw Johnny standing outside the bathroom door. He held my towel, his face expressionless, but a hint of amusement danced in his eyes. I was shocked and panicked, "Oh my god, Johnny! What are you doing here? How did you even get in?" I exclaimed, desperately covering my exposed body. Johnny's expression remained stoic, but his voice was low and even, "You shouldn't leave your door unlocked, Anna. Anyone could walk in." His words sent a shiver down my spine, and I felt a mix of fear and vulnerability.

If they already saw me as an outsider, why was I still trying so hard to belong? I scoffed, "I don't want anything. I wish you and your family a lifetime of happiness." With that, I turned and went to the bedroom to pack my things. Sophie followed me into the room and slapped me across the face. "It's New Year's! What kind of attitude is that? It's just an apple. Do you have to turn the whole house upside down over something so small? Julius already feels awkward in this family. After your little scene, just how embarrassed do you think he is?

A shuddering Georgie eventually came up and spilled everything to my mother, blubbering, "God, you were lucky you weren't there. That boy was terrifying!" She swiveled to me. "You know him. As the inky shadows of despair were catching up to him, he found out Zoe had repeated the year and scored enough to get into Harland.

Tina said dramatically, “is J.J.—Jay Johnson. Heir to the Johnson Empire. His family owns more than half of the country’s wealth. They decide who becomes president.” I sucked in a breath. I had heard of the Johnsons. Everyone had. They were untouchable, powerful beyond imagination. J.J. adjusted his backpack, ignoring the screaming students. But then— He stopped. Right in front of me. For a moment, everything went still. His cat-like eyes locked onto mine. I felt my breath hitch. He didn’t smile. He didn’t speak. But he stared—lke he was searching for something in my face. My heart pounded in my chest.

“Good day, Ruby and Carmine. If you are through for the day, l will love to take you back to the hostel.” “Good day to you. Thank you for that gesture, Johnny. Let's go,” Carmine spoke while Ruby looked on with an angry face. Then, Johnny and Stanley turned and they followed silently. They walked to the car park, ignoring the prying eyes of their colleagues. Meanwhile, Johnny was on top of the situation because his deportment never faltered. He hung his fanny pack on his shoulder and his white T-shirt upon his tapered jeans made him to appear more handsome.

I turn into a bat and fly away I search everywhere but I couldn't find him, where on earth could he be, rain starts to pour, I look for where I can take shelter "Johnny where are you" _______Johnny's POV ______ "Thanks again for letting me stay here rose" I said nervously "Well did I have a choice, you killed 3 persons, you sucked them dry what where you even thinking?"she yelled " you don't understand, there's a lot going on in my mind, am surprised you still had the guts to come close to me, aren't you scared I might suck you dry as well?" "No, because I know you Johnny, you aren't usually like this, now tell me whats really going on"

They looked at Johnny, their classmate who was the most braggart in their entire class, who suddenly appeared in front of them. “But we were the first to come here,” Clayton answered. “What if you were the first? Don't you know that this is the Campus Queen's table?” He and Don looked at each other. “Are you leaving or not?” Jhonny impatiently asked them again. “But there are still many vacancies out there–” Johnny reached for her collar. “Are you opposing me now?!” “Jhonny, let go of him! We will just move to another table,” Don retorted.

And now he was circling the drain with rats and roaches. I lit a cigarette, drawing in smoke and leaned back in the cracked leather chair my men had dragged in. Outside, my men waited, posted in the shadows, waiting for the word if things went south. The door rattled, metal against metal. I crushed the cigarette under my heel, pulled the gun tight in my hand. Johnny appeared, worst than the motel. Gaunt, pale, hair thinning in patches, shoulders slumped like a man carrying the weight of all his own bad decisions. His eyes flicked around the room, and for a second I thought he might try something. They went wide when they landed on me.

Intentions that, like the coveted brass ring, were always just a few inches beyond our reach of understanding. If I was going to walk away from my career over this, I needed to know why. I’d made up my mind to confront her, to try and get some answers out of her. I just had to get her alone, without her watchdog there to get in my face. I was in the middle of working out just how to go about doing that when Johnny and Camilla strolled through the hotel lobby. I almost didn’t recognize him. Johnny’s long hair was dirty, and his shirt—a faded Opeth tee—had several holes along the lower hemline. He looked like what I imagine Layne Staley did in his final days before his heroin overdose.

"Fine by me. Neve needed a bigger play area anyway. I've already had someone knock down the walls and convert your room." It wasn't up for discussion. Instead, he was simply informing me. If this had happened back then, I would have been heartbroken. But now, I only replied, "Whatever." After I cut off contact completely, my family never looked for me again. It was as though I was nothing more than a cheap old coat they'd thrown away. I started working like crazy at a fast-food joint in the neighborhood, just to numb myself. In my spare time, I signed up for a blog under a fake name and wrote random musings no one would ever read.
