“My God, Ren. We are in a time where girls can be happy without men.”
“Really?” she sounded unconvinced.
I neared the easel beside the window, glancing over Manhattan’s white, frosted skyline. Drops of snow are falling from the louring skies, forming a small mound of snowpack on the window stool.
With a smile on my lips, I removed the bare canvas from the easel, the newest in the collection of Evan’s face beaming at me. My fingers traced his well-defined jaws, remembering the feel of his stubble as I touched him. The rough surface of the oil covered canvass tickled my skin.
