On the flight, my head throbbed relentlessly. I pressed my palm to my temple, breathing shallowly, wiping tears that refused to stop spilling. I prayed sleep would take me—drag me under until Ravenwoods—but my body wouldn’t let me escape. Every time I closed my eyes, it was there again. Selene Hawthorn. Jaxon Grayson. At that moment it started to snow, Rose’s favorite season. It was the first snow. Her favorite day of the year. Rosalie had always loved the snow, but her love for the season grew because the snow had led her to meet Hakeem. They would’ve been in their little cottage, celebrating their first baby together. The snow would’ve been the icing on the cake as they enjoyed each other's company. When Hakeem finally looked at her with trembling lips, unable to speak, her heart broke all over again. But, she knew she’d take the bullet all over again.

Jason Snow looked at the sky as his mother drove on the long and empty highway. Blaine usually went out with a group of five to go hunting to bring the max amount of food back, however today him and the missus got into a big fight, so he left by himself. I watched as he traveled to the east end of the forest. It had the most game over here, most days we had rabbit, some good days we’d eat deer, elk, and buck. Allison helped by bringing some chickens, so we aren’t short on much. I sat 200 yards back, and watched through my scope. My 308 was my best. I never missed a shot with it. I watched as he sat still waiting for the doe to cross his sights one more time.

After leaving the room, Selena received a message on her secondary account. She glanced at it, smirked, and headed into the kitchen, ready to dig deeper. Snow replied, "Yes, Aaron. I'm from the south, and my biggest dream since childhood has been to see snow and build a snowman. It would be so romantic. And if I could do it with you, it would be even better!"

Snow lowered her head and said softly, “Jared, I thought about everything today. I was the one who messed up. I made you misunderstand things.” First a scolding, then a sweet gesture. Snow had always known how to play that game. “I don’t have much going on at work today, so I came to find you. Do you want to go get some crab or shrimp from that seafood place we like?” Snow loved the seafood from the place near the school. Whenever her appetite was low, I would always bring some back for her. But it was her favorite, not mine. I closed my eyes and said in a low voice, “Snow, I’m allergic to seafood. I can’t go with you.”

He planted a longing kiss on my forehead and I smiled. "Oh yeah, I told him I'm not coming home so I think you shouldn't go too. Let's spend this night together." He said and I shrugged "Sound good to me. But not without sending a goodnight text to my son." I pointed out and he chuckled. Oh, I hope this goes as planned. ***THE GRIFFO'S MANSION*** *SNOW'S POV* What have I done? My eyelids parted and I stared up at the beautiful chandelier above as I drifted into thoughts.
