My older sister was still married to the man my father had picked for her. "Why do you seem so shocked?" He shrugged one shoulder and then he leaned forward on the table, closing the distance between us, a small smirk sitting on his lips, "I said, are you into threesomes?" I stared into his eyes with my narrowed ones. This man looked like he was straight out of a movie, he was blonde, probably around 6'4, and he had this weird monotonous voice that sent chills down my spine. I nodded slowly, and then shifted back, "yes, I am."

Cassie said, pulling me into a quick hug. "It's stunning," I said, looking down at it again. "If we talk too long, you'll be late for the ceremony." The woman said, giving Cassie a stern look. "Yes, sorry, Athena, this is Helen. She is the one who does all the hair and makeup for mating ceremonies and any big events in the pack." “I feel it now.” For the rest of the evening, the household buzzed with excitement. Jina started planning for celebrations. Jacob was already debating what role he’d get to play in the baby’s life. And given your scent, I can tell that you are not from here, Alpha.” He smiled, slow and confident, the kind of smile that didn’t quite reach the eyes. “Forgive me. Alpha Lorenzo D’Amaris. But I choose to go by Mr. D’Amaris when it is amongst humans.”

For the elite guard to grace their home meant something monumental was happening—whether a blessing or a curse, she didn't know. Jake stepped forward, bowing low as the commander approached. “Is that her?” the Kingsguard asked, his sharp eyes locking onto Calista. “Yes, Sir Braavos,” Jake replied eagerly. “Her name is Calista Caitlynn.
