*MARY'S POV* Walking into the room, I felt my chest tighten at the sight of him. Josh was lying on the bed, his face pale, his breathing steady but shallow. Bandages covered his arms and chest, and there was a faint bruise along his jawline. I pulled up a chair beside his bed, my eyes welling up with tears. “You idiot,” I muttered, my voice shaking. “Why did you have to be so reckless?” He didn’t respond, of course. He was unconscious, his body working overtime to heal itself. I reached out, hesitating for a moment before taking his hand in mine.

But once she realized that I wasn't responding to her provocation the way she wanted me to, disappointment appeared in her eyes. She didn't even know what she was hoping for anymore. Just then, Joshua, who'd been hiding in a corner, suddenly rushed over excitedly and hugged Sabrina tightly. He was immensely touched. "Rina! I'll love you for the rest of my life!" His wrists were wrapped up in bandages. I couldn't stop myself from peering at my own wrist—the part I'd kept hidden under my wristwatch. There were jagged scars there too. However, none of them had ever realized they were there.

Josh snapped his teeth and bit into the man's shoulder. "Josh! Step back." Josh tried to swipe at the man again but I growled. Josh retreated and went back to his best friend's side. He laid down with his head on his Jake's arm, whining. I looked back to the two rogues, the third was on the ground healing slowly. Good. Jake was in the same situation, just with less injuries, and it was due to that rogue. It’ll probably take the rogue longer to heal, if I decide not to inject him with wolfsbane right away, due to the multiple injuries.

At that time, Joshua was too busy dealing with Luna and Aura, and on top of that, he did not want Granny to deal with such trivial matters like this, so he abided by Celia’s request and ordered the bandage that she wanted. At that time, he had ordered plenty of it, but Michael still managed to use up all of them despite that. Therefore, just a few days later, he ran out of the bandage. When Celia approached Joshua to request more supply of bandages, she was rejected. Because of this, Joshua remembered this particular bandage quite well. At this moment, while he stared at the description of the bandage material on the report, he could not help but feel ironic about this turn of events.

As I sat there, I realized I wasn’t wearing anything on my upper body, only the bandages wrapped around me. The moment Nick opened the door, Josh rushed inside, as if he couldn’t wait even a second longer. “You’re looking better now. Doctor, you should leave,” Josh said, quickly closing the door and locking it behind him. Then he took a step forward toward me and sat down on the bed right beside me. He stretched out his hand and held mine; his thumb rubbed the back of my palm as he glanced up into my eyes. He was behaving so strangely. “Is it hurting even now? Should I give you some painkillers? I don’t want to see you in pain at all. It hurts me to see you hurting,” he said gently.

How long did the doctor say it would take for this wound to heal? Holding the bandages, Gina hesitated, then answered, "Well… it'll take about a month to fully heal." Joshua frowned. "A month?" "Yes, that's correct," Gina confirmed. After hearing the response, Joshua didn't say much and simply gestured for his assistant. "Terry, come here," he called out. Terry, feeling a bit puzzled, approached cautiously. "Mr. Grayson, I'm here. What can I help you with?" Terry asked.

I'm quite certain they're both infected. I hear Joshua whimper next to me, I look at him and my heart aches. It's like looking at myself hanging from the ceiling. We both look similar. Even though he's older, we're almost the same height and body shape. Although he has light brown hair and brown eyes where I have white hair and blue eyes. He's not awake, he's sleeping and he keeps crying for Jameson. That breaks my heart even more, he has a mate. But his mate was on patrol that day, and he had an appointment to have his stitches removed on his back and the staples from his scalp.

Joshua snapped. Ping strapped my arms and legs to the table while Joshua complained that he was taking too long and that I’d be feeling things soon. Once I was secured, he slowly removed the bandage on my neck and gasped. Joshua pushed him away and studied my wound without touching it. “I’ve seen worse. Give me some clean bandages,” he ordered. “Don’t touch it,” I complained. “It’s hurting now that the bandage is off.” “It looks a little infected,” Joshua said. “I’m going to put a topical antiseptic on it and then we’ll give you a shot as well. Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.”
