People wanted pictures with me, my autograph and everybody pushed to lay a hand on me. I was sweaty, tired and content. I wanted to take a long shower, eat a steak or two and go back to the motel to sleep. My body would heal during the night but now I was hurting. George was like a sledgehammer and I could feel every punch he’d landed. “Man, I’m so happy right now I’ll even rub your shoulders for you,” Josh said and laughed at his own joke. “I think I’ll survive without you touching my naked back,” I replied and chuckled.

The stitches on Joshua's neck were removed, and he would only need to medicate them to prevent scarring. "Freedom! Freedom! Woo-hoo! I can run and jump again, free to soar!" Joshua bounced on the hospital bed, wiggling his hips. Shawn and Gale stood by the bed, arms crossed, and watched him expressionlessly. "What? Aren't you guys happy? No celebration? Today is such a wonderful day!" Joshua asked excitedly. Gale nodded. "Yes, yes, we're happy. Just take it easy; don't break the bed." Shawn added, "Watch your hand. You just recovered from a fracture; don't break it again."

On my first attempt, I nearly fell, but I soon steadied myself with all the strength I had and helped him up. “Here, drink this,” I said, giving him the pain relief and some water. While he drank that, I went about trying to see what I could do with the wound since he refused the presence of the doctor. Luckily, the bleeding had stopped to an extent, so I could concentrate on the main problem, which was dressing it and putting a bandage on it. The issue, though, was Josh Xavier had lost so much flesh that his stitched flesh was pulling apart as a result of that. The problem was not that it would not heal, the problem though was even if it did it would leave behind a big gash as a scar.

I replied, and they bid us farewell. Josh remained in the hospital for two more days until their doctor finally discharged them. Some of their wounds and bruises had healed, while others hadn't. Josh was the only one among them who left with a bandage still on his right arm. Whenever I asked him about it, he would just repeat that he only needed to wear it for a week, and his fracture wasn't that serious, so I shouldn't worry.

I collapsed on the bed, mouth open in a silent scream, body bowed like a broken bow. What is this? These things shouldn’t exist in a modern world. Why? I buried my face in the pillow, taking deep breaths, letting my blood soak through the sheets. I could feel the injuries closing up, thanks to my S-grade alpha healing. It knitted skin, not nerves. The pain stayed. My muscles felt like wet cotton, useless, heavy, trembling.

He laughed, “I’m glad you did. I get to be part of your pack now.” We went to the room next to his and found the other man sitting up in bed. I smiled, “I’m assuming your wound is all healed up?” He shrugged, “It doesn’t hurt anymore, but I can’t see it.” I laughed, “If it doesn’t hurt, you should be all better.” Alpha Matthew asked, “Do you think you can show us where your group is living?” He nodded, “Yeah. As soon as the doctor releases me.” Joshua left the room and came back with the doctor following him. The doctor looked at his wounds and sighed, “Well, it looks like the wound is all healed. You are free to leave when you are dressed.” The nurse brought in a pair of sweats and a t shir

“No! Not yet. But I think he is going to be back soon.” “Ok then we is going to have fun tonight” “What fun? Let me go home. Don’t you know we have so much to do?” “Please! Let’s go. I promise it is last time” “Babi said yes while rolling her eyes” JOSHUA POV I woke with bad body ache. The bruises of my knees were bad. I didn’t even clean the blood. I limped towards the washroom to see my face. I saw a cut near my forehead. I took out the first aid box from the drawer and started to clean my wounds. Next thing I heard was knocking at the door.

The two are in the middle of wearing their gears: bandanas, elbow and knee pads, gloves and athletic supporter. 'It's finally the day,' Joshua reminded himself inwardly. He looked at the huge field as if it is his chess board when he can't control the pieces but he can watch them move. After watching how the play goes, then he'll decide whether it's the black or the white piece that he will grab soon. It's only a matter of time before they'll find out about Celine's identity. Thus using this opportunity, Joshua is eager to justify his secret plan in order for him to move.

For a beta like Joshua, who has not yet received training to become a warrior, he immediately took flight. His back hit an empty container, and he immediately took a deep breath. She laughed like crazy, and even though Cathy's kick and punch hurt, Joshua still managed to laugh. He had difficulty standing, and he spits saliva with blood. "Wow, that was one hell of a punch and kick you have," he said, but his voice clearly says that he doesn't like it. Cathy was still trembling with her guard up. Joshua approached him again and tried to remove his jacket, only to reach an airlock.

She looks so beautiful; it hurts to look at her. Shes sitting with Joshua. Talking with him as he's sitting holding his knee up. His face looks kind of sad. I approach quietly as I watch the two of them interact. It looks like Joshua hurt himself and he was crying. I lean on the door frame as Alexi gently wiped the blood off his knee. Although Joshua can't shift yet, he still has a weak form of healing powers. It only means that little shifter kids will heal faster than normal human kids, but slower than the rest of us full grown shifters.
