Because it doesn’t seem like you did.” Maris reached behind her to the space near her chair and produced a tall glass of green juice. “This will help you to maintain your health, and the pup as well.” I stared at it in horror. I can’t say what I expected, but this wasn’t it. “What is that?” I asked, crinkling my nose. “Herbal juice,” she said and pushed it toward me so it slid along the tabletop like a present.
