It felt like home. It was home.

"Mark!" Mom cut Dad off before he could finish. But she did not have to let him say the rest. I understood anyway. The kids at the group home had been right. Children like us, children who were adopted, were only loved until the family had a real baby of its own. Once a younger brother or sister arrived, we were sent back. I had been stupid enough to think I might be the exception. I bit my lip and said nothing. I watched Mom and Dad fuss over my little brother, soothing him as they took him out the door.

He paused and rubbed his right thumb across her cheek, his eyes boring into her deepest part. "I don't want to come back just to a clean home and home made meals. I want to come back to you too." His voice was so deep and coarse with overwhelming emotions. "I want to come home to you 'cause my home is where my heart is. You're stuck with me, Ava. I'm never letting you go, so I need you to start getting rid of your fears." That was all she needed to hear to get the sparks out. And by God, she believed every word.

I wonder if I would ever boast of having a home in the future. For now, I know I do not have one.

Sky was stunned. 'Our? my home? my own home?', Sky couldn't speak for a while. "Yes, it is our home", Elliot held her hands gently. "This is so beautiful", Sky had tears in her eyes. Elliot really knew her the best. He knew how Sky longed for her own home where she can feel a sense of belonging. She had always been living under a continuous fear that one day she'd be abandoned by everyone. Elliot knew her darkest nightmare so he wanted to make her feel secure.

I really don't know how to deal with them. My mom likes Chloe a lot. She always told me that how come I can't be just like her. And I answered her simply because I am Marga, in short for Margaret, my name is too long to Its right? So yeah that's simple reason. But she said that I should be like her.
