“So, I’d said, dragging the word out. “This has been an amazing night; the food was wonderful and everything looked so beautiful.”
He’d grinned, but continued to leer at me in silence. He wasn’t an ugly man, but he wasn’t attractive either. He stood at toughly the same height as me with my heels on, but he was much broader. His hair was cut short, too much gray for it to be labeled the distinguished salt and pepper look, and he had a thin mustache, just as gray as his hair and thick lips. His overall shape was hidden beneath his suit jacket, but I could see the beginning of a pudgy stomach.
