Something is keeping the healing tether from connecting me to this person healing me. Could this be Tori? She was telling me about how the healing process works when Beta Victor went hell-bent on crashing our conversation and tried to kill me. Right now, I want to find Tori and use this energy to heal these claw wounds the Beta gave me. They are deep and very painful; without my wolf, my healing is as slow as a human.

“You must be having some serious misconceptions…” “Oh no! Trust me on that. I am married I should know.” After absorbing that bombshell, Ana laid back on the bed numb, reacting on automaton when her sister bade her farewell before extracting a promise to visit her when her health was fully re-established. Which only happened a couple of days later when Ana was told by her doctor that her knees were completely healed and that she was allowed to go back home.

I heard her sighed as she approached me. I flinched. “Okay... if it makes you uncomfortable, I won't insist on hearing an answer...” she trailed off, probably sensing the fear radiating off my body. “I am Karheel. Most healers remain hidden, as they are sought out by other packs. It appears that healers use a small amount of their life force to heal someone who is sick or injured. It has been observed that healing another individual is draining on the subject and oftentimes, they pass out from exhaustion after utilizing their ability. Lain stared at the heavens, seeing his beloved mate and his smiled, taking his final breath. “Prepare him for burial. I will find the girl,” Alpha Kayden commanded.

I asked myself, but he looked too busy with Kade to even remember the discussion we had. But who was he? I thought he was just a doctor—a human. But tonight proved that I didn’t actually know him. Zeus had just finished explaining what Hela and Kari were up to. 'One of Hela and Kari's gifts is the gift of healing.' I told him through Mindlink, now we were mated again. I could mindlink anyone. 'How?' He asked, shocked to hear me in his head. 'Another gift.' I told him. 'Anyway, I expect to hear she's with pup soon.'

***** Haley almost burst out laughing. She was still crying. Somewhere deeper, out of sight, they had just dried. Her step was steady as she made her way back to her room, the kind of steady that results from something inside being snapped into place. Kieran returned shortly after. He appeared at ease, even joyful. Grinning, he raised a little bottle in his hand and gave it a gentle shake. He said in a kind and pleased tone, "darling, I went out of my way to get you the best prenatal support medicine. Imported. incredibly successful. One pill every day. You must take it, okay?”

“You brought her.” “I didn’t think she’d be worse.” “I’m standing right here,” Keiral snapped. “Also, I’m your healer now, asshole. Watch your tone or I’ll give you a hernia.” I crossed my arms. “Wait—you’re the pack healer? What happened to your teacher gig?”

The person who had attacked Ashton a moment ago shifted back to his human form and shouted at Ashton. When Leonard saw who he was, he was not surprised. "You have gone against our values and attacked our alpha, the crime that you have committed requires you to face execution at the first light, right in front of the whole pack," Kevin shouted at the top of his lungs. Although he was talking, he seemed to be sending out signals. The wounds on Kelly had already healed and his subordinates had already brought him clothes. Ashton was still healing because his super healing abilities came from his wolf who was still under the effect of the wolfbane.
