Raymond, a lowly bear, said as he approached. Jazzy didn’t particularly like bears, but she liked them better than she did wolves. Mainly because they were weak creatures that didn’t pose much threat to her coven or anyone for that matter. She still was unsure why Alpha Jonathan chose a bear to work with, but he did seem like a good enough spy. He’s been hanging around the school for a while and feeding Alpha Jonathan information, which Jazzy respected. How he was able to get on the campus and blend in was something Jazzy didn’t understand though. They haven’t told her how he was able to do it.

I was no Angel by any means. His frustrations were notable and perceived due to the failure of capturing the Dire Wolf. The Intel given to us was solid. She would not be running with the pack on the night of the full moon and we were to create a diversion at one border while charging the one closest to the palace. Our informant had even given us a few pieces of her clothing so the were-bears could sniff her out and easily find her, along with a map of the castle. As wolves, our senses are powerful. However, a bear could smell the tiniest drop of blood and sweat, their sense of smell being 100 times what ours is.

I turned to Damon, “You said it was a black bear, right?” He nodded in confirmation. “Alright,” I said, pacing around. Something about this didn’t feel right. This was Warwick territory and there was a strict policy that prevented bears or any other wild animal from killing werewolves in our jurisdiction. One hardly saw wild animals or monsters around here. During training wolves had to walk a lot further from the territory to see any wolf animal or bears so how did one, especially one who willingly killed a pregnant omega get so close. Better yet, how did the bear even get in?

Jeremy didn't even get to spend much time with them. KiKi has been quiet as well lately. Alexi found out that it was because KiKi was playing with the pups and didn't want to leave them. She screams within herself, letting them sleep at some point so I can sleep. She laughed about how cute KiKi was being over the pups, still Alexi was thinking they were hyperactive since they were always bouncing around, but now she knows that it is only KiKi playing with their pups. . Matthew the Beta - The wolves whose behavior I excused were on cleaning duty for two weeks with the Omega's. They couldn’t help but someone drugged them, however they could help not to question the She-wolf before they had tak

“It’s not Karl, he was attacked by a pissed-off bear and the fact that the bear is dead makes me wonder how he got these huge claws” “I don’t know but I feel the bear was possessed, a normal bear can’t make these huge wounds” Karl divulged as he couldn’t deny the fact that this was one of the worst nights. “Why would Ras want to fare off with a bear that’s possessed?” “I don’t know but we all know that Ras hates being scared, he wants to show his strength wherever he is” he sighed as he lifted Ras carrying him on his shoulders.

The bear’s eyes glinted in the moonlight, and it let out a low growl, its breath visible in the cold air. Damien stepped forward, summoning his wolf as his eyes flashed a deep golden hue. The bear, sensing the dominance in Damien’s stance, hesitated. They locked eyes for a moment, a silent battle of wills. Damien didn’t flinch, his wolf’s presence exuding authority, a natural command that few creatures dared challenge. After what felt like an eternity, the bear let out a huff and turned away, lumbering back into the forest.

I had been stressing all morning, driving myself insane trying to figure out what would motivate the bears to strike out again after we had so thoroughly defeated them the last time. I had thought the stray bears that we had encountered in the South, courtesy of Zeke, was some sort of fluke, that maybe he had blackmailed or lied his way into fooling the two goons to do his dirty work. They had certainly lacked a high intelligence rate, that was for damn sure.

These are reserved only for our little rag-tag group. When Carson was little his favorite cartoon has something to do with bears, so he just gave me the nickname Moon Bear and called himself Sun Bear. Lachlan became Lock Bear, then Jase became Earth Bear, Arson became Air Bear, and Ransom became Death Bear. Weston came along after Carson's death so I deemed him West Bear.

“I didn’t lie, Kade, I swear I didn’t. I love you. I wouldn’t do that to you. Please….” She was breaking my heart into tiny pieces. “I know, and I love you too. But just listen, okay?” She wiped a tear that had fallen and nodded her head. “Okay. All the bears I’ve known have the same hazel-colored eyes. And they’re huge—much bigger than wolves, even in their human forms. They have the same increased strength and healing that most shifters do, but they aren’t quite as fast as we are. Have you ever known Tyson or anyone in your family to get sick? A cold or the flu?”

In a flash of an eye all three of them were dire wolves running through the woods, wild, free. Not for long, Pearl knew she needed to go back to the mortal realm and save Ethan. END OF BOOK 1
