Three dots appeared as he was typing, then the dots disappeared. I frowned and glanced at the door, checking if a customer came. There was no one, so I focused on my phone again.

He still did not wear any audio equipment, so Larissa could not even pretend that she could not hear Ruby's voice, which came through clearly through the phone's speakers. "Kevan! The kitty's here!" Ruby was hugging a Ragdoll kitten that was about the size of Muffin, and she lifted one of its paws to greet Kevan. Kevan smiled and asked her, "Do you like it?" "Um …" Ruby was a little hesitant. She exclaimed as she points at the squid. "That's a squid, Rhea! For god's sake haven't you saw a squid before?!" Oh now Cora is mad. "A squid?! But that's to big for a squid!" Oh, now we're talking about squid. "Squids can be big or small, Rhea, argh! You're such a moron!" Cora stomps her feet. "Look, I don't want to interrupt your squid quarrel and all, but I'm hungry and I'm ready to eat a whole lot a squid so can we go somewhere really interesting than a super market?" "Awww... Kitty, I'm eagerly awaiting the sight of your helpless, begging face before me," he seethed, relishing in his twisted desires. As I prepared to leave the room, Clyde's arrogance filled the air. His voice dripped with smug superiority as he declared, "You underestimate me far too easily. I, Clyde Butch, have never known the taste of defeat."

Kate applied more force, her face red as she brought the knife closer to Sakura’s throat, ready to slice her life away. Sakura wanted to cry out. Oh, God! The fear within her was overwhelming. What if Kate did manage to slice her throat here and now and kill her in an instant? Sakura couldn’t think further and managed to jostle the knife out of Kate’s hand. Kate scrambled for her precious weapon. Sakura took the opportunity to shove Kate back, causing the other woman to fall on her backside. Sakura chose the chance to run out of the cave and into the storm outside.
