The door closed behind him with a quiet click that somehow echoed louder than it should’ve. I stared at the space where he’d just been. He said he didn’t kill the cat. And somehow, I believe him. Just like I know, deep down he didn’t kill his brother either. Because Keith is alive. Now I’ve felt the weight of the truth that I can’t bring myself to speak out loud. But why hasn’t Keith shown himself to Kyle? Why does he stay hidden in the shadows of Kyle’s life, watching but never reaching out? Why is he hiding?

Keith threatened Cain darkly. “Ew!” I expressed disgust. I was both disgusted and scared at the same time. Keith had to be the most dangerous man I had ever met or known. Did he kill humans for fun? Wasn’t he interrogated this morning over the murder of someone? All this only went to show that my life wasn’t safe here. If only I had succeeded… Keith turned to look at me when I expressed disgust before looking back at Cain. “Make sure this place is covered, and I want a thorough check on the whole fence, because I don’t know how you could have allowed something like this to linger,” Keith said. “And send the damn chef to me,” Keith added tightly.

My wife’s got a prenatal appointment, so I won’t take up any more of your valuable time.” Travis’s jaw clenched. “You sure know how to switch faces. But don’t think this is over. Keith rephrased with a silent scoff. "It would be cruel if I asked you to forget Matthew---" "Matthew himself had asked me to forget him," Keith smirked cutting in. "But I won't. And I'm not going to have a good life." He mentioned to Ruth who was staring at him confusedly, her eyes still red from crying. "I would become successful and wait for my death while being a confirmed bachelor. Aromantic, misogamist or call it whatever." Keith said in conclusion as he rose to his feet.
