Dreams of Hope

I always wondered what life would have been like if I didn’t lose my parents, by now my father would be the Alpha of the pack and none of this would be happening. I looked around my cold cell and I knew that there was no way I was going to live the happy life I sought.

I have been through the worst kind of pain for the last four years, I didn’t know what I was going to do about it this time. I always thought that my mate would take me out of all these suffering but then there was no hope for me now.

I laid down to get some rest, I didn’t know what I was going to expect. ‘I wanted to make sure that I don’t let him hurt me anymore, this is going to be hard but I need to find a way to escape again. Even if it will cost me my life I will have to find a way to leave this hell hole of a pack.’

I closed my eyes to sleep my heart was uneasy and I didn’t know what but I had a feeling there was something going to happen. My eyes opened and I was back in the cave I woke up in, but there was something different there was a man there with me.

He was attending to my wounds and he was trying to make sure that I was not gravely injured. I looked at him and I didn’t know what to say, the man before me looked a sculpture that the gods created. He brought forth his hands and began to mutter some words. I could feel my wounds close up; I didn’t know what he was doing but whatever it was he was doing it was working.

“Don’t worry my dear, you will be okay.” His voice was so calm, I didn’t know what I was feeling but it was clear that he wasn’t any ordinary being. I got up to see who it was. But I got up what I saw was a Lycan looking at me.

I woke up from my sleep immediately, I looked around and saw that it was only a dream. I was still in the dungeon and by the looks of things there was no hope for me to leave the dungeon anytime soon.

‘What is wrong Astrid?’ Lia asked as she was trying to comfort me. I laid back down, I looked around I couldn’t find an answer to give her.

“I don’t know Lia, I used to have an answer for everything but now I am confused. I just want to make sure that we don’t get hurt again.” I looked at the wall, I felt Lia’s sadness it was clear that she was also feeling the pain I was feeling but there was nothing to do. “

‘I don’t know what we did to the moon goddess to make her hate us so much, I really don’t know what we are going to do.’ I was so tired and sad that I couldn’t find a way to make myself feel assured that nothing was going to happen.

I felt someone coming to the cell, I sat up and waited for the person to walk in. I knew that it might be the guards trying to use this opportunity to do whatever they want, I wasn’t going to let them do anything to me. I looked at the door and waited for them to walk in.

The door creaked open; I looked up in disbelief as I saw Leon walk in. I didn’t know what he was going to do but I knew that there was no way he was here to release me or do something nice.

“I see that your time here has broken you up, tell me how do you feel?” He smiled as he looked at me, I couldn’t do or say anything. I wanted him to die but then there was nothing to do but to look at him with all the hate in my heart.

“I feel nothing but hate for you, I wish you will die!” I knew that it was a stupid thing to do but I wasn’t going to let him make me feel like nothing. I didn’t know what he was going to do to me for raising my voice at him. I knew that he was going to do something to me to make sure that he made a point, he leaned over to me and I looked at him. My heart skipped a beat when he was looking at me, I expected him to hit me but to my surprise he was smiling.

“Well, I don’t know what to say my dear. But I am going to take that as a joke. I know that you don’t really mean that.” He wanted to touch my face; I didn’t let him touch me.

“I’d rather die, I am not going to let you touch me. You are nothing but a mistake of an Alpha. I will rather die than let you touch me!” I looked at him, I didn’t know what gave me the strength to do all that but then I didn’t know what he was going to do.

Before I could blink, he grabbed me by the neck. I was looking him straight in the eye, what I saw there was nothing but horror. I knew that if I should make another mistake, he would not hesitate to snap my neck.

“Look, I don’t really care what you feel but I want to let you know something. If you go out of place ever again, I will make sure that you feel pain that you have never felt.” He was looking into my eyes; I didn’t know had gotten into me. But all of a sudden, I snapped it was not normal for me to do that sort thing. But out of nowhere I retracted my claws and gave him cut on his face for him to let me go.

He released me, he was holding the wound I gave him. He was looking at me with so much bloodlust in his eyes. “You dare harm me?!” I looked at him, it was like my father was there with me.

“I will rather die than to let you hurt me!” I looked at him, he was walking towards me with murderous intent. I knew that there was no escape from this but I couldn’t let him hurt me.

“I will make sure that you don’t walk away, I will break you.” He was in front of me with his claws out.

“Alpha Leon, the Lycan king is calling for you.”

He stopped on his tracks, “I will be with him.”

He turned back to me; he didn’t want to do anything anymore. “You might have been saved this time, but make sure that when you are released from here that you don’t step out place or else, I will make sure that you breath.”

He turned and took his leave; I gave a sigh of relief. “What is the Lycan King doing here?”
