Is he by chance the reason why you're here?" Kiran nodded. "It's a homework," she explained. She glanced down at her lap and realized that she had lost the sheets of paper she held in the hallway. Kiran's eyes went wide with panic. "My homework! I must have left it outside."

Trinity let go of the wheelchair handles and drifted off toward one of the shelves. “Ignore me while I go take a look at those rectangular books of yours,” she hummed under her breath. “Sure,” Kayden said, pretending not to care, though I could tell he was watching her very closely. “Is this the library of the ‘East Wing,’ or are others also allowed here?” Trinity interrogated, peeking through one of the shelves. Kayden clicked his tongue. “East Wing.”

“October 10th. Two thousand and one.” Miss Ada nodded, her fingers dancing over the keys. “I’ve already got the address for the pack house in the system. Just a moment, dear.” A small whir came from the side printer, and Miss Ada retrieved a fresh library card with Ryleigh’s name printed in bold at the bottom. “Here you go,” she said, handing it over. “You can check out five books at a time. They’re due back in two weeks. If we’re closed, there’s a drop box right by the front door.”

I regretted it the moment it left my lips. The library is on the far side of the courtyard and I need to get out a book for an assignment for law class with Principal Byrne. It’s late and I wish I’d gone before dinner. Once I’m two paces from the front door of the library, I glance over my shoulder to make sure I’m just being paranoid. As I scan the courtyard, I can’t see anyone, so I continue and enter the old building. Mrs. Kendall, the aging librarian, is fast asleep behind the desk as usual as I walk past and into the vast, ancient room lined with hundreds of bookcases. They keep law books on the second floor mezzanine, which is potentially the darkest and creepiest area of this place.

Zoe's POV: I'm Zeo Lupine, a freshman student at Ryard University of San Diego. Short and robust with pretty face. I walked into the school's gigantic library for the first time and I was marveled by the sight the loomed before me. The library , a magnificent space with towering shelves of books, soft reading nooks, and large oak tables, bathed in the gentle glow of reading lamps that cast a warm, inviting atmosphere. I took my seat in a secluded corner, surrounded by rows of ancient books, each whispering its own story. The library had always been a sanctuary for me, a place where I could lose myself in the world of words.

Students were already settled into their classes, leaving the empty hallways quiet except for the distant sound of teachers lecturing. Zack pulled Anna toward the library entrance, his steps quick and confident. “Library is empty this period, Mrs. Andres always takes first period for a coffee break,” he said, glancing at his watch. He pushed open the library doors, the familiar scent of old books filling the air. The main room was empty, bright and modern. Left of the entrance are several light wooden tables paired with matching wooden chairs. The chairs were neatly pushed in. To the right of the entrance and extending into the back of the library, there are multiple tall wooden bookshelves

the peppy lady at the front desk asked. "We would like to visit the library and the romance bookstore," Arabella said before Kieran could let out a word. He shrugged because it was wise for her to talk instead. He knew pretty much nothing about what her preferences for books were. "Alright then, all you have to do is make your way through that elevator over there, for the library you are going to the fourth floor and for the romance book store you are going to the floor above that," the girl said with a sweet smile.

Kendall was slated to teach history in Class A of the third year. As usual, he carried his documents into class and ran into a cheery young girl in the hallway. “Good morning, Mr. Kendall!” The girl was in a wheelchair, waving to him with one hand and books in the other. The girl was very beautiful. She had a pair of large eyes and fair skin with a ponytail behind her head. She was wearing a short skirt today, exuding her beauty like a full garden of blooming flowers. Although the girl did not have a voluptuous body, she had pure beauty about her.

What better way would I get to research on the mysterious Alpha King but in the library? I would need all the knowledge I could to find him after I left this place. It must have been close to a week that I had been coming to the library when it happened. "We have to close the library." I looked up from a particular interesting story about my father to Wendy, the librarian. "May I borrow this book then?" Wendy smiled at me apologetically. "It is too heavy to have in your room. You may try to lift it without any of your maids present."
