The woman stood behind the podium; her old, but unworked hands, smoothing out the precious pages. “Welcome to my library,” The woman said, her eyes flashing to them. “Can I help you find something?” The librarian had a reputation about her, stories whispered on sleepless nights. Her name was Claudia, and she had been in the library for as long as anyone could remember. Claudia’s book held more than the location of library books; it was said to hold every answer imaginable. The volume was magic; so much so that it was a part of the woman’s soul, and only she could read its pages. To every other eye, it was completely and utterly blank.

“That would depend on how the evening ends, don’t you think?” Why did she say that, she thought, and why did she say it in such a seductive tone? She heard the words coming out of her mouth, but her ears refused to believe they were hers. Creighton stared at her with a surprised expression and then chuckled, taking another drink from his glass. “Tell me Miss Dennis, what do you do for a living?” Changing the subject, he tactfully and successfully moved on to safer ground and she instantly relaxed again. “I’m the head librarian for a very tiny public library in Kansas.”

The chime on the front door was comforting, the smell of books mincing with dust was intoxicating in a good way, the best way even. There are not too many people here and I like that. The old cranky librarian just retired so yes there was a very open vacancy that needs to be filled. “So?” Kael asks raising one eyebrow at me. “Yes!” I squeal and beam and he laughs because I might actually look like a puppy who was offered his best treat right now. “So, library it is.” He says as we walk out. “ We'd need official paperwork and stuff. After that you can start work anytime.”

“Which is unfortunate given that I’m one of those wolves.” Loren barked a laugh and stood up. She walked back over to her own desk and slung her bookbag over her shoulder. She jerked her head towards the door. “Come on,” she said. “Let’s go see what the library has. I was just heading there anyways.” That was how I found myself at a nearly full library on Sunday night. Nearly everyone was in the library at that moment. Kairos and Petyr were sitting in one corner. He gave me a curt nod in greeting which I returned.

I sided with Bryce. “We’ll see. Until that day comes, I’ll enjoy my days of being single.” When I got home, I found my girl sprawled on the couch, fast asleep with a book on her stomach. Another thing I learned about Kendra was that she liked reading so much. I looked around for a bookmark, knowing she’d never read a book without having one nearby. If I dog-eared the page, she’d murder me. I finally found one on the coffee table and marked the spot she’d stopped at.

Amanda approached the chief librarian, a wise and elderly wolf named Amelia, who had served the Shadow Pack for many years. "Greetings, Luna Amanda," Amelia said respectfully, bowing her head. "What brings you to our humble library today?" "I seek knowledge, Amelia," Amanda replied, her voice steady. "I want to learn more about the history of our pack, its traditions, and the mysteries that shroud the Shadow Part."

I greet the young librarian. “Hello, Dora. I must’ve guessed you’d still be around here.” Mrs. Linda says giggling. “How can I help you?” she asks us. “Penny needs access to the special shelves”. I say. “And Penny has the authorization to access the special collection?” The librarian asks. “Actually I do, signed by the alpha himself”. Penny answers by giving the paper to Mrs. Linda. “Well, in this case, follow me, but you can’t come with us, Dora.” She says looking at me.

Elena Carson I spend the whole day at the library making research and looking up materials. The school library is huge, and I’m friends with the librarian, so he gave me easy access to the restricted sections and even pulled some old archives for me. After hours of digging through dusty books and scrolling through old articles, my eyes burn and my back aches from leaning over the desk. The air is a bit stale, and it smells like old paper and polished wood. It’s almost 5pm now. I know Killian gets off work at six, so I have just one hour left. I stare at the computer for a while, feeling sleepy. The last textbook I need is up on the highest shelf. I’d need a ladder to get it.

The library was still open, but the librarian was just getting ready to leave. “Oh, what is Her Highness doing in the library at a time like this?” the librarian asked, poring over the rim of her pince-nez glasses. Madam Fern, the librarian, was a thin, irritable woman who looked like an underfed vulture. “Your Highness?” she repeated suspiciously. Clara, who had never imposed her authority before, asked in a kind smile, “I am thinking if I could use the library, please? And probably borrow some if I found any.”

She folded her lips, refusing to eat. "You have nothing to say to me?" He shifted his gaze towards me. "No,” he eyed me with disdain. “Why are you still here? Beat it! You're not allowed in here." "I have every right to be here. I am your Luna. What's yours is mine. Are you telling me you are going to chase me out of my own library?" I asked him. "Do you really need me to spell it out for you, Kendra? I think you would have gotten it by now, but you're seriously very dumb. I don't want to have anything to do with you. I want you to leave me alone!" he yelled.
