로그인Arianna’s life in the Moon Pack as a faithful heiress was just perfect until it was ruined by the betrayal that broke out during the Bonfire Festival which is the annual celebration of the pack’s unity. While running away, she inadvertently finds herself in the god of wolves’ territory where she meets Alpha Lucian, her destined mate, who is caught between the pact and fate, while his chosen bride Gia keeps dangerous secrets. The chaos that arises from the release of Arianna’s moon magic reveals the underlying plots of the conspirators and the turmoil that has rocked the wolf communities. Unexpected births create tensions, poison is used at social functions, and the ancient predictions are being contested by the warring packs. If the Moon Goddess is going to come down with a storm of curses and heirs, will love overpower loyalty? Or will it always be under the shadow of love?

“You called?” My guard, Derek, said as he entered the room. The scent of blood lingered in the air, he paced in front of me.
“Your father is in a meeting with the pack leaders,” he continued and tapped his foot.
“Urgh!” I said and folded my arms and stamped my feet. “He is always in a meeting. I need to tell him about something.”
Derek rolled his eyes and folded his hands. I turned my back as I paced back and forth. Everyday it is usually like this. I never get enough time with him from one pack meeting to another. Responsibilities that come with being an Alpha.
The bonfire festival is coming up, but there’s been a recent attack by some rogues.
“You always have something to tell your dad,” Derek said and headed towards the door of my room.
He is not allowed to stay in my room longer than necessary. He has been my personal guard since I was 5. I have two personal guards, Derek and Aaron.
I needed to figure out a way to meet Dad.
“Urgh!” I threw myself on the bed while Derek stepped out and closed the door. Maybe I should just assist with the Bonfire preparations.
“Let’s go to the town hall to help out with the preparations,” I said as I opened the door to meet Derek.
“Alright.”
By night fall the town hall glowed with firelight and shadows are dancing across the crowds. The scent of cinnamon and warm bread, laughter from the pops playing a little distance away. Men sitting in circles, sharing a drink. Years back I would play around while mum organized the hall. She died during the birth of my younger brother, Austin, Dad hasn't been the same since then.

The earth stuck to my feet as I ran, my lungs burned, branches clawed my arms. Behind me, the rogues howled, their snarls being heard in a distance, got closer with every heartbeat. The forest I used to go for a run to clear my head felt unsafe.
An hour ago, the air had been filled with music and laughter. The bon fireflames scattered the sky, howls echoed from the forest. The whole pack gathered in front of the town hall to celebrate the bonfire festival. Some wolves in human form, some shifted.
I stood near the fire, my dress touched the grass and heat from the fire warmed my face. I always feel at peace during the bonfire festival. My mum used to say if it goes smoothly, then the moon goddess is happy with them.
She was right.
The first scream cut through the celebration, followed by the sound of glass shattering. The firelight flickered, the rogues bursted from the treeline. Panic erupted. Wolves shifted mid air and growls were being heard.
“Take the pops on that wing, I will take care of this one,” I told Aaron, pointing towards the left side.
“Alright, Princess,” Aaron replied, shifted and ran towards the wing. He attacked a black wolf that's near one of the pops.
My heart thundered against my ribcage, breath quickened and shallow as I shifted and growled at a brown wolf, a few feet away.
I saw Derek run towards me, I nodded towards the pops. Then I pursued the brown wolf and tackled her to the floor. I felt a claw dig into my sides. The rogues outnumbered the pack. I ran towards the forest.
I saw my Dad and Austin being surrounded by seven big wolves. Austin and Dad are the strongest wolves in the pack, even with dad being old and prepared Austin to take over. This seemed like a not so random attack. That's all I saw before I entered the forest.
Now my steps felt heavier and screamed for relief. My vision is blurred, the growls are got closer. Hot breath brushed my heels as the rogues closed in, their claws tore through the underbrush, but my legs kept moving. I tripped, my knees hit hard on the dirt, pain shot up my legs.
Bones snapped and howls were heard, they were shifted back to human form. The last thing I saw was the pale shimmer of moonlight breaking through the trees, then everything went dark.
My eyes opened to the white ceiling and the sound of water dripping. It echoed against the stone walls. The air is damp, heavy with the scent of earth and ash. I tried to sit up right, but every nerve in my body tightened. I am on a narrow bed covered with ragged fur. The room was dimly lit by a bedside lamp on an uneven and rough rock, table and chair just opposite the bed side.
Fully seated, my heart skipped a beat and snapped my head to the side, I looked around. This place is not familiar, it's not my room or any place in the pack. The walls are not made of wood or plaster but carved from the mountain.
A prison.
I moved my feet to the ground, my legs trembled as I stood and my feet met the cold stone. I faced the window and turned to the heavy door at the far end. I wondered if my body could take me there without falling, but before I could decide the door creaked open.
Two men stepped inside.
The first, Light skin, tall and well-cut jet black hair. His aura is commanding, it filled the room with his presence. He took a few steps into the room, his eyes reflected gold in the firelight- Alpha eyes. The second follows closely behind, he is leaner but still feels intimidating. His gaze was sharp and scanned the room then me, from my feet to head.
There's silence in the room. The sound of water dripping is still being heard.
I rubbed my arms. I was raised by an Alpha and when mum died, Dad became deeply cold. I dropped my hands to the side, I don't want to show any sign of weakness.
The Alpha's chest raised with a slow inhale and his nostrils flared. He froze mid step. His eyes locked on me, widened slightly before he narrowed it.
The beta looked from me to his Alpha and back to me and raised a brow. I felt my wolf stir. The silence is thick, he parts his lips and one word
falls into the air, branding itself into my fate.
“Mate.”
CHAPTER 41 Clara's POV: The bunk is hard. It was comfortable when I first lay on it but I have been in the same position for so long and my entire body was cramping. I do not know how long I have been like this by the way. It is like living in muscle memory. I was just living without really trying to put effort into anything. Not making efforts to change position on the bed. Not making efforts to try and peep through the window of the cell I was locked in. But mostly not making an effort to think. I wanted to be so detached from my thoughts. I did not want to rely on the fact that my son was kidnapped by my father and that his life could be at risk. I did not want to feel guilty for not being there.I did not want to think. I did not want to panic. I did not want to feel. I just wanted to be null. Saying I was scared was an understatement. For the first time in my nearly perfect smooth powerful life, I felt low. Depressed, dejected. Clara Brad I knew was not like this.If this wa
CHAPTER 40Kael's POV:There are different shades of shock. Like it comes in different shades. The first shade had come on when Alpha Brad had singlehandedly and swiftly kidnapped his own blood. His own grandson. It left a new light as to everything. He was a beast. One who would even devour his own blood without second thoughts. And I had underestimated him. The audacity to take a child in broad daylight. Request a ransom even. For him, everyone was a pawn on his chessboard. Clara, his daughter, has been the most used. Evan, his grandchild having been introduced to the board. And there was me of course.I fume at the mere thought of being made to believe I was a father to a child that was not mine. I was drugged for basically no reason but to fit into the scenario. In Austin's words, he could not stand thinking I'd be the father of his grandchild. He loathed me that much and it was reciprocal. Most of the slight hate I had transgressed to little Evan was because I could not stand th
CHAPTER 39Austin's POV:It takes will, expertise and composure to walk away from Ari in that library. Not when she looked like she was about to fall apart. Not when the walls around her were actually falling apart. It does not matter if I was younger. I just wanted to be there. To protect. But recently I realized that if I try to be in everything, I'll end up being in nothing. My life after the bonfire had been about Ari throughout and I wanted to see and experience life doing my own thing despite how much I loved my sister. And I knew she understood. It was why she did not suggest I sleep over. It was why she did not question my judgments over what I wanted to do with Derek. What I was doing with the pack. She understood my dreams and let me live them because of course she loved me and would be too selfish to hold back.It was a good thing Clara did not prolong the drama by putting up a show or fight. She had accepted her fate, explained her cramped daddy issues situation and even s
CHAPTER 38Arianna's POV:Once Kael's head disappears around the corner, I turn and glare at Clara.“What was that?!” It is an effort to keep my voice low.She shrugs. And damn that one shouldered shrug. I thought that was my thing. Was she mimicking me or what?“Why are you keeping it away from him? He deserves to know about the prophecy. Not like it would help me if he did. I just do not know why you are hiding it from him.”“You have secrets too, I know. But I'm not digging into them. So do well to mind your business.” I hiss as I brush forcefully with intention against her as I walk past. I can hear her snort from behind. My God, she was a bitch through and through. Did she forget she just lost a child?I stop at the door and beckon on one guard. He walks briskly over and keeps his head bowed as I address him.“I need eyes on her all the time. Day and night. And make sure she shows up at the library tomorrow whether she's grieving or not.”He nods and bows out to carry out the ord
CHAPTER 37Kael's POV:“What?!” Neither of the women across my table seem to have a tangible explanation for the next how long. So I shift my chair back and begin to actively pace the small space to digest fully what I just heard. This was Alpha Brad's doing?I stop and stare from the redhead to th
CHAPTER 36Clara's POV:I have been working in the library. All thanks to this Arianna of a girl. I can not believe she has chosen not to have any grudge on me despite every evil I have done to her.I sigh and move over to the last shelf to dust it because there really was not much to do in the lib
CHAPTER 33Austin's POV:I slump in my sleeping bag. It's in the middle of this tent I built and the fire crackling outside is on the verge of turning off and leaving me alone in the dark. Utterly alone.Maybe not alone. The night animals growls, the midnight air, the trees swishing in concordance,
CHAPTER 32Arianna's POV:Aa expected I settled in easily with Kael. His chambers was not entirely big as a reigning Alpha's lodge. I commented this and he quickly said if I needed a change he could have them tear down the whole thing and make a new one.But I did not want a change. This was family
