He stepped inside the demon’s swing, pivoted sharply— And drove his blade upward beneath the general’s armor. The steel stopped just short of Kharvek’s throat. Silence fell instantly. The duel was over. Kharvek froze. Adrian held the blade steady. “Yield,” Adrian said quietly. The demon’s jaw tightened. But he finally lowered his weapon. “I yield.” Adrian stepped back. The court erupted again—some cheering, others murmuring in disbelief. High above them, Vaelreth stood slowly from his throne.

They were two of Dexter's betas. I understood Dexter's plans now. He had given me Wolf's bane instead of the elixir, so that I would be vulnerable and weakened when his two betas would come in to beat me up and probably bring me into his party to flaunt his success of defeating the forever detested Alpha Blade. Unfortunately for him, I had been smart enough not to swallow it. The only effect it had on me was the burning and pain in my mouth which had gradually lessened "Let me ask you this now that you both are alive." I said as I watched them bring out batons. "Was it your Alpha that sent you to me to die or is it just fate?"

Papa will take care of you." ‘I came here to find a kid to raise into an indomitable bodyguard that will be loyal to you for life, and yet you chose such a weakling and useless thing?’ Chairman Blade thought, staring down at Axe and then at the worried way his daughter glanced at him, her tiny hand holding onto hid dirty ones as tears trickled down her peachy cheeks.

He said, "Sir, I brought back Vedomadder and the Tiger War Amulet." Wilbur nodded and looked at Kevin behind Shepard. Kevin was carrying a small luggage. He knelt on the ground and lifted the luggage above his head. "Here's the Tiger War Amulet, sir. Please spare my life." Kevin did not know who Wilbur was. He did not know why he wanted the Tiger War Amulet. However, he knew that he had better beg for his life. Otherwise, he would be digging his own grave if they decided to kill him. Wilbur grabbed the luggage.

“If the cub hears a second presence in the deep routes, then someone with a blood key I did not authorize is already ahead of you.” Kael’s hand closed around the hilt of the blade at his hip. Torren’s scarred face had gone pale under the iron-gray hair. “There are only four living blood keys to the deep routes. Yours. Mine. Nyra’s. And one that belonged to your mother lost the night she died.” Aria me felt the final piece click into place like a lock shutting. Kael’s voice was barely human. “My mother’s key was buried with her.” Torren met his eyes. “Then someone dug it up.”

Back in the Inner World The darkness was closing in around them, and Cael felt his strength waning. The thing that was the Weaver laughed, a sound that seemed to come from everywhere at once. "So pathetic. A wolf trying to protect what is already lost." It was then that a voice echoed through the space—Jared's, reading the ancient words from the book. A beam of pure moonlight impossible beneath the sun struck the creature mid-charge. It screamed, skin burning, limbs thrashing. Kael moved in, blade flashing silver. In one brutal arc, he brought the sword down, cleaving the creature in two. Ash and blood spattered the stones. Silence followed tense, brittle. Aria stood trembling not from fear, but from awakening. Kael turned to her, eyes burning. “You’re more than a key, Aria.” Her gaze met his, fierce and steady. “I’m the lock. And they just tried to break me open.”

I clenched my knife-life claws, ripping apart the cloth from the braid, and Jace, with the help of his fangs, ripped off the rest of it. “We’re..losing it, Hailey!” “DO IT NOW!” Dario screams and before the shield is retrieved, Jace manages to take out the key right at the very last second. The cloth sure was heavy, but the key wasn’t. It only took a maximum of two slices to cut through it. How did we know that the key was hidden in the braid? Well, let’s just say, giants have the ambition of keeping a valuable object close to them. Finally, I jumped, not knowing if there was any surface beneath. But luckily, we had two werewolves in our group.

Kyle shot at him but the Tifex weaved it expertly. Kyle went crazy, and began shooting anyhow, yelling that he won't repeat being a slad anymore. Flames and bullets whizzed around carelessly but none touched anyone surprisingly. Aiden's eyes glowed brighter as he let all the ice shields fall. A sword was thrown into the center of the room. Kevin landed on it, holding his other sword. The materials that was used to make his swords wasn't the regular normal sword material. Kevin waved his sword and hit it on the ground, causing a blue light to activate and sending blasts of air waves which shoved Kyle off his feet brutally.

"Awakening the Purge Protocol." At the end of the long hallway of tanks, a door began to hiss open. A silhouette stood there, taller than any man, holding a weapon that hummed with the sound of a thousand dying suns. Kael stepped in front of me, his violet eyes burning with a ferocity that shook the floor. He didn't have a wolf's form anymore, but he had the soul of the First Pack. "Stay behind me," he said. I looked at the brass key, which had solidified again in my hand. It was no longer a recovery key. It was a master key.
