"Awakening the Purge Protocol." At the end of the long hallway of tanks, a door began to hiss open. A silhouette stood there, taller than any man, holding a weapon that hummed with the sound of a thousand dying suns. Kael stepped in front of me, his violet eyes burning with a ferocity that shook the floor. He didn't have a wolf's form anymore, but he had the soul of the First Pack. "Stay behind me," he said.
