A crack of thunder rang through the air, and a terrifying wave of energy spread out. Kaxx and Sheldon were shocked, scrambling to defend themselves. Sheldon summoned an enormous shield, and Kaxx summoned his cutlass. However, the immense power from the thunder cleaver tore through both their defenses at once. Kaxx was cut bisected at the waist. Chloe rose into the air. Shadow energy wrapped around her like living snakes. Her scream echoed throughout the academy. Then... A crimson symbol appeared on her forehead. Liam's face turned deathly pale. "The Blood Moon Crest." Orion's grip tightened on his sword. "The Second Key..." "It isn't hidden in a temple." "It was hidden..." "...inside her." All the keys were the same length; only the key blades differed.
