Likewise, the figure of a lady seated on an extravagant, intricately chiseled and decorated throne glows bright as two tall windows flash light on her like converging spotlights. The rear of her fingers altogether supported her tilted head while her other arm rests at her lap. Few meters away from her, a young man stands still, staring directly at her, awaiting the movement she will take. It is Tristan, that child she has been watching over since the first day of their meeting.

Lucien explained, then led us into the throne room, everyone was there, and when I say everyone I mean all the key players and leaders, and then warriors started to gather, filling the grand room. Mathias and I walked up to the two enormous thrones. They were made of pure gold with a velvet backing and cushions, in deep green. I timidly sat on the seat, my hand holding onto Mathias’ for dear life. I was weary but also felt uncomfortable that I was sitting on something so luxurious in the dirt and blood-stained clothes. At the end of the room are two large seats on a higher ground with few steps to reach them, one slightly larger than the other. Thrones. The larger one looks to be made from pure gold with the female head carved at the top, the arm carved to look like an actual hand and diamonds are arranged artistically on it. The second chair is the same, only slightly smaller and shiny silver. I make a mental note to ask what the female head means, although I'm guessing her to be their goddess, or our goddess now. This whole new life is so hard to adjust to.

“What throne?” Her counterpart lifted a pale hand. Behind her, the rift widened—showing the forest again, then the lake, and then the throne made of woven silver fire and shadowlight. It pulsed once, as if recognizing Aria through dimensions. “Your throne,” the figure said simply. “The Convergence Seat. The heart of the new realm.” Aria shook her head, stepping back instinctively until her back hit Erevan’s chest. “I don’t want a realm. I don’t want a seat. I don’t want any of this.”

Prince nodded, thoughtful, then laughed, looking toward me. “Does Torey know? He’s going to hate that idea since they’ll be overtaking him with the title of having the biggest pack and territory in America.” I nodded with a grin. “He knows. He was just glad it was his granddaughter who would be taking that title from him.”

On the table sat two beautifully wrapped boxes, the Crowne crest embossed in gold foil. "What are those?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. Tristan didn't look up, but his aura softened for a fraction of a second. "A gown and heels for tonight. You’re an Ashford; you should look the part of a fallen queen." He paused, his voice turning heavy. "You mustn't bring shame upon the Crowne name in front of the other Houses."

Lex had guided her to the center of the platform. She stood in front of the crowd, eyes not wavering. Beside the thrones sat the former queen and king, watching with quiet pride. “My people,” Lex's voice carried across the hall like thunder echoing. “Bare witness, as fate's design is fulfilled. The throne has waited, and now your Luna rises. Your queen.” Beta Tairone stepped forward, bearing an ancient box carved with symbols older than memory. Lex lifted the lid. Inside, resting on velvet, lay a second crown. It was pink as dawn. It magically shimmered.
