"I have to tell you. All of you." Lucian came closer. "Tell us what?" "Kieran is dead." The room went silent. "What?" Dante's voice came from the doorway. He had just walked in with Zephyr. "Kieran is dead," Nikolai said again. "I killed him." "That's impossible," Zephyr said slowly. "We would have felt it. The shadow army would have fallen apart." Nikolai shook his head. "The shadow army didn't fall apart because Kieran wasn't really in charge anymore."

Even then, he maintained his consciousness, staring at her with viciously with those mesmerizing grey blue eyes. If he had the strength, Serenity knew he would end her life right there. Resigning, Serenity closed her eyes as she started the countdown for her life to end.

"Let's go to the dungeon. We can make his death as painless as possible." "That's the alpha I know." Damien grinned at me. "Damien and Liam, the two of you will go with me." I said. "Yes." They both said, stood up and followed me outside. I never expected the sight I met when I got to the dungeon. There Kenneth was, lying dead in a pool of his own blood. From the look of how his cell was, he had committed suicide. I wondered how he had done that knowing how much I had tried to prevent that from happening.

I collapse into a chair, overwhelmed. Mrs. Taylor, Wolf, and my mom rush in, followed by our friends. I explain what the doctor said, and sighs of relief echo through the room. That’s when it really hits me, I could have lost my mate today. Kian gives my shoulder an encouraging pat. “Where is he?” I ask, knowing I don’t have to mention that bastard's name. “In the dungeons. I doubt he’ll make it three days,” he answers. It’s frustrating that I didn’t just kill him, but maybe it’s for the best since he is Wolf’s father.
