--- He practiced the laugh for the next forty minutes. It was harder than it should have been. His laugh was — he'd been told — dry. Short. The sound of a man who finds something amusing but considers it beneath him to show it fully. Lyra's laugh was the opposite: sudden and genuine and completely unguarded, like joy that didn't know it was being watched. He'd heard it his whole life. He could hear it right now, if he closed his eyes — her in the library, or at the dinner table, or running through the frozen courtyard when they were children. He tried to make the sound. Mira watched him. Made a face.

’ She groaned as she dragged yet another bag. I placed my hand over my mouth to keep myself from laughing so hard when I saw her shove the bag away from herself. ‘What is so funny?’ Kira huffed, her eyes flashing. ‘Oh! Nothing,’ I giggled. ‘That. Is. it!’ she threw her hands up. ‘I am not lifting a finger anymore.’ I burst out laughing, the action causes me to move away from the window. I placed my hand on my tummy, unable to stop the laugh.

But how could I not find this funny? The great Aronohai Miyamura can’t get it up— because of me, but that’s irrelevant. “I warned you not to laugh, you little— ”. His eyes gleam darkly. “Hahaha— ”. How can karma be so freaking hilarious? It’s such a beautiful day to be alive. “You find this funny?”. Ah. That tone is dangerous. “No! Of course not, Si-Miyamura”. Holding back my laughter might actually lead me to choke to death.

Instead, I see all zombies on the floor rolling and laughing. "I have no brains. I am glad you realized, Ara," Keith says, laughing with tears in his eyes. "I am an idiot. You should not call yourself stupid, Kiara," Ryder imitates me, laughing harder. "That was hilarious hearing you ramble sparkle," Reed, who is supposed to be my knight in shining armour, is laughing. So here we are with me chasing the boys around the house. Fifteen minutes later. "I am sorry, Kiara. I will never prank you again as long as I live," Keith says with fear in his eyes. I laugh evilly. MWAHAHAHAHA.

Macaroon started licking my cheeks that made me laugh 'cause it tickles. "It seems like you're in a good mood." I stopped laughing when I heard a voice. I looked up and there I saw Miss Kyrary smiling at me. I feel shy all of a sudden. "Eh? Why stop? It suits you more when you smile or laugh like that." She pouted and helped me stand up. "I wanted a cute little sister like you. But all I got was stupid brothers." She said with a slight of misery on her face that made me laugh a little.

I laugh, forced laugh to be specific, and scratch my neck. “Hehe yeah!” I said, I was awkward from his pun that isn’t really that funny. “Oh! The Luna laughed!” I was startled from his sudden outburst. “See that Caleb? You said I’m not punny but Luna shown otherwise!” I saw Caleb rolled his eyes as Levi laugh his heart out from his “punny pun”. I smiled from their bond. “Please Luna, don’t encourage Levi with his jokes.” Caleb said with his pleading eyes. I didn’t know what to say nor react but I manage to nod.

Turns out he has that type of laugh that makes everyone want to laugh along. I start chuckling too, turning my head toward Kirill. He was lying on his side, propping his head up with his hand. His face was lit with a sincere, bright smile, and his eyes sparkled with cheerful green. My heart skipped a couple of beats at the sight, and I stopped smiling. Don’t you dare, Vicky. Don’t you dare fall in love!!! Nothing good will come out of this for YOU! As if snapping out of it himself, the brunette stopped laughing too, only a faint smile remaining as he looked at me.

I tried, but every time I looked at Ryan’s furious, trembling face, the laughter came back twice as loud. Directors stared at me like I’d just gone mad.
