Instead of answering, I stood on my toes and kissed him.
The world exploded into sensation. Lucian's lips were warm and demanding, his hands tangling in my hair as he pulled me against him. I could taste the danger on his tongue, feel the barely controlled violence in the tension of his muscles. This was insanity, but I didn't care anymore.
He backed me toward the door, his mouth never leaving mine, hands roaming down my back. We stumbled inside, knocking into furniture, desperate and graceless and perfectly reckless.
